Looks good guys, thanks. @ JustinSane: I like your idea of forcing us to use the less competitive races. I think that part of the appeal to the MVL is meeting new challenges and new ways to play. Your reasoning is correct in that with open settings, we will all play for the optimal and not select other races. I wouldn't mind seeing a future round that restricts all of us to a single unpopular race. As long as we are all forced to use the s

I also agree with the exception to allow VegJed's submission, RL can be a pain sometimes. @ VegJed: Sorry to see you go, hopefully you will be back for round 13.

I think that the variety of this round made for more interesting team strategy other than simply deciding on speed or score priorities. With the variations, the team members could pick the game type playing to their strengths and weaknesses based on the preceived optimal style / difficulty of the various game types. The optional randomly selected 4th game was also interesting: One of our team members has been chomping at the bit to submit a second game, but
Good luck ragnar, you'll need it!
Sadly I tied you one day and the scoreboard on the Core showed me as #1, but the trivia game showed you as #1 and gave you 11 and me 10 points! Probably my only chance, too. I just read to slow, can't get the low times in.

Probably. I was much smarter when I was your age. I seem to grow dumber over time. Maybe my theory that if you drink enough beer, you kill all the unused brain cells and you can reach 100% brain usage is flawed? [e digicons]o_O[/e] [e digicons][/e]
For those of you who play the daily Trivia game over there, its still working. Here's the link: http://my.funtrivia.com/private/main.cfm?tid=4806
Thanks for the link, KP. It looks like it's just you and me since the main site is down. Maybe I can finally win one, with Rexman locked out. I've been second to you or Rexman several times.

What's up with the Galactic Core? Some other website comes up when I go to it from my favorites, now. It was working this morning, though. I think it did something like this the other day, too.

Question: Is this 4th game (on teams of 3) also averaged into the score, speed, and submission team bonus calculations? I've been assuming it has, but want to make sure.
BTW, damn that Rock Band game!!! I don't even own an Xbox 360 to play that game and it's already costed me $30 for a mic and ~$25 in iTunes downloads lol. My wife picked up Paramore's one albumn and now the latest Lacuna Coil albumn (RAWR on that lead singer btw). End of this month I'll be dropping a good $60-70 on a GH4 guitar so I can stop bumming off of friends.
I managed to beat Guitar Hero III on easy
in truth, i'd probably catergorize myself closest to a Hamiltonian ideology (he's not my avatar for nothing) which does share some values with the Republican thought; but there are some key differences. The power of judicial review was enshrined by the Federalists (vs the Republican strict reading), belief and support of individual liberty (civil rights), and a sound fiscal policy (which both parties lack); so I suppose one could say I

Thanks, guys. I believe it is possible to get a 0 yr win on the tech settings, but it will take some luck. I was close, I ended in April of year 1, and I think I had either the last or second to last tech being researched at the end of year 0, but my creativity just didn't trigger enough (maybe once or twice early on).

I'm in. Sorry I didn't vote, but I figured either candidate would be a good commissioner. So far that looks to be true with our co-comissioners. Thanks guys for stepping up and taking the bull by the horns. [e digicons][/e]

I'm currently finishing Jordan's 9th book in the Wheel of Time series. I sure hope somebody picks up his manuscript and finishes the 12th book and series. After that, back to SciFi and more Honorverse.

I certainly want to keep playing in the MVL, I've only just started with 2 rounds. I wasn't there for the earlier rounds, but the two that I've played were each different. I would like to continue to see diverse settings, that will challenge me to adjust my game style and play in ways I normally wouldn't. I can live with any of the proposals so far except, disbanding the league. I'd hate for my team (D) to break up with so little time since the draft, but if

I agree with Mumble on the TBS vs. RTS issue. I have SoaSE, and it is a great game, but GC3 needs to remain a TBS, not become SoaSE 2. I have enjoyed the few hybrid games out there because they were unique: Total War series and Star Wars: Rebellion. SW:R was the ultimate hybrid in that it was a true 4x RTS, unlike SoaSE. You could control the speed of time and make changes, issue orders, etc. while paused and then you cranked it up to superfast due to the epic time scale to build things or m
dose any one know how to get a favorite rave badge yet because i have been playing all my games with the Terrans. that’s all i what to ask. i ask this because most vets are in here. I think I heard that it's based on DL games not DA/TA. So play a few DL games as the Terrans.
Correct, you must play a game in DL, but I think it will also take into account DA games for the racial victory medal.
