I really like these FAQs. Getting valuable info and at the same time a whole community gets their top 5 questions answered. For some strange reason I wasn't much into AoW II MP but I should have been! DarkMystery, you're here? PawelS recognizes that name :) I will create a RTS vs TBS thread some day soon. We need a flamewar to sort the wheat from the chaff ;) In the meantime, sensitive

While I REALLY like RealID in that people will FINALLY have to face the music when they talk crap on the forums and ingame, and also have to realize that you have to be STRONG enough to hold your own and can't rely on the authorities (police) to protect you, the bad thing about it is that since I'm politically active and are politically incorrect, I open myself to serious risks.
I dated a Locker once. She was closed off and wouldn't let me in.
Then you didn't have the right key or knew how to get it [e digicons]:P[/e]
This reminds me of my friend (Patrik) who called me and told me that his ex gf had taken over his e-mail account. Me : How on earth could she do that? Patrik : I just tested Me : Tested..? What you mean? Patrik: I changed my password back to my old one (which she knows) to see if she would do anything <span styl
I say, give minor factions the same A.I as major factions. Since they don't have a Sovereign they'll be overrun or integrated eventually. Like some people have said, being able to ally with them sounds really good. Protect them and they will help attack your enemies (or give you resources or something.)
Don't like them. You'd feel forced to prolong a siege to get the Hardy bonus. All these bonuses are hard to keep in mind so you can't really plan to get them. They feel to random.
Quoting Campaigner, reply 190 Why shouldn't a powerful army face peasant opposition? Defending is already easier then attacking. Higher lvl cities give % hitpoints (pretty sure about that.) When you attack early, you invest a few lvls in Warfare instead of other categories. You also have to FIND an opponent and travel over to him. That's more then enough time for the other players to m
I want Half-life and it's two expansions Opposing Force and Blue Shift and am thinking about getting them....only 33% off though and we're talking about 10 year old games! Also really want Magic The Gathering: Planeswalker, but that ofcourse is NOT discounted!! Just my luck....
I tried to overclock my Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.00 Ghz some time ago and became pretty scared when BIOS showed 95C!! Went up to 98C even after I turned it to normal!! Had to load optimized defaults to fix it....haven't touched it since [e digicons]:S[/e]
I know very well the concepts of turtler, eco-boomer and aggressor but I used turtler in a bit generalistic sense. Shouldn't have done that... Why shouldn't a powerful army face peasant opposition?
Cities: Can we start to have cities defend themselves, at the very least against mundane attackers? It makes sense if your sovereign conquers a city that the peasants can't really put up much of a fight... If they tried, the first few would undoubtedly make an example. But, if I have a peasant army of 5 Peasants walk up to an undefended city, they shouldn't be able to just take it. A city of a 100 people, even if half
Seems great! Not sure about the slots for enhancements but we'll see.... I'm much more concerned over a possible "slippery slope stack of doom" that the differential of combat ratings may turn into. Why have several small armies all around the map when the enemy who got 1 big army will steamroll you and get bonuses as well??
Heh, I only found one spelling error unlike the rest of you (but then again I'm not a native english speaker.) It's in the last image on the second page. And what's wrong with starting sentences with "and"? I've heard it should be avoided but I've never gotten an explanation as to why. And the creature names should definetly be capitalized. It doesn't matter at al
I had some debates with myself (not talking, but thinking. Not sure how to word it in english) about if Heroes II or Heroes III were better. I went back and forth but ultimately I decided on Heroes II. The soundtrack, different power of factions and above all, the spell system gave the victory to Heroes II. Heroes III got much better graphics and a much better Knight faction lineup but other then that....I don't know what's better about it vs He
Powergaming. Being a min-maxer. (I believe that min-maxing means to play optimally.) In PuzzleQuest , I want to get a good combo going. The feeling of glee when you first use Haste , then Web h(makes enemy lose 3+ turns), then Burn to turn Green gems to Red gems, then Wake the Dead to turn Skulls to +5 Skulls and finally Flaming Skulls to turn Red gems to Skulls.
Shadowtounge, I've played Heroes II, III, IV and V. Not the first one though but some day, maybe :) I've played plenty of Heroes III. Defeated all the campaigns in the original and played a few scenarios. The equalness of all the castles and overpowered expert lvl of enhancement magic made it boring though. Every castle got 7 lvls of creatures (though some are vastly different in power) and expert lvl in enhancement magic (Bless, Shield, S
Would I like Civ V? I've only ever played Civ II: The Test of Time for an hour or so with a friend that helped me. I remember it as boring. Diplomacy I didn't understand. I gotted an alliance with one faction and they occasionally gave me techs. I didn't give them anything and gotted a message: "We're grewing bored of this alliance". A few turns later
This looks like fun. Especially like the icons for all things (got 'antidote' for signing up ^^)
August 24th is still too early to me... lets have a look. We still havent got: Multiplayer (there can be problems witch connectivity) 3D engine (Again, hardware issues, performance) Fallens Diplomacy Victory Conditions Caravans and roads Whole combat system + (Naval, morale, sieges) Most of the spells Editor Tools AI <
I've never modded a thing in my life and I don't plan to start now, but it's great for the ones who like that. I wonder....which game will have the strongest modding capabilities.... Elemental ? OR StarCraft II ? This feels like a unique time in the history in PC gaming when both strategy camps get their ultimate game. And BOTH games will have the best modding capabilities so far! &n
Wow, what an embarassing bunch of Captain Obvious Superfriends we have here.
Totally agreed. People going out of their way to look like hardcore purists when in fact they end up looking quite dumb. Just like the Master of Orion III fans.... If Elemental would have had graphics like Master of Magic then I would laugh at it, make fun of it and pass on i
I hope the music on the soundtrack are of the highest possible quality (FLAC or ATEAST 320kbps MP3!) The Collectors Edition of GalCiv II was in some kind of metal.
I immedietly came to think about WarCraft IIIs engine as it removed animations if your hardware wasn't up to par (which mine wasn't [e digicons]:([/e] ) What's the specs needed for max performance in 1920x1080 ?
I like these journals =) Color Agree that the color of very rare techs shouldn't be grey. Purple for legendary techs fits. Champions They must be able to lvl when they do their job. Like a healer heals, inventor invents (duh!) [e digicons]:P[/e]
Nice explanation.
