This is what I call news [e digicons][/e] The beta just jumped a whole main phase! No more .5. 4. is the last one now.
mean how many really play the campaign that comes with TBS games?
Quote by PawelS I do. As do I. In some games (like Age of Wonders) the campaign is much more challenging and fun then regular scenarios since in the campaign the developers made sure to put hard challenges on the hardest difficulty while the regular scenarios may or may not be challeng
We don't know how the Attack & Defense mechanic will work and I'm not sure if even Stardock knows so I got a suggestion on how to do it. I have played all the Age of Wonders games, Disciples II, Master of Magic and all Heroes game except the first one but I've never thought the combatsystem to be good enough in any of'em. Master of Magic came closest though. Age of Wonders - Attack, counterattack. Every point of Attack

I got no problem with this. I think it's right. Steam & Impulse are the same way. Buying it used = screeewed [e digicons]:P[/e]
Except that for the last several years chip manufacturers have stopped speeding up clocks and have been doing things like adding more cores, cache, or increasing superscalar and out-of-order execution instead. It's meaningless to use gigahertz as a performance measure by saying "my machine is a dual core 3GHz, so it has 6GHz of performance" . It's even worse to say " it's 3GHz but it's newer than my 3Ghz pentium 4, so it's

I like SkyNet too. Will be interesting when the first A.I that can "see the whole picture" gets created (Just hope it doesn't get installed in military supercomputers!) I'm also interested in A.I. So what's the best programming language for A.I? XML like you want to use? Am I correct in believing that CPUs (for home use) from 2005 and onwards are strong enough to handle any game A.I thrown at them in realtime? Cause fr
Good work. Though i hope Stardock makes a desktop theme out of Elemental.
Technical Percentage of games completed Average turntime for every single turn (and you can bring up a list of every number you want) Game Preferred faction & Sovereign traits, mapsize and gamestyle (1v1, 2v2, FFA) Win/lose ratio
I would vote for The British National Party.
No to XP for normal units! This is how it would go: WITH XP: Build small squads of powerful troops and tech/expand hard. WITHOUT XP: Build as many units as you need and want. This will lead to more conflict around the map (more exciting) and more battles. </
My priorities: The first 3 are fundamental. Without them, the game fails. The 4th is necessary for immersion (and enjoyment.) Customization and modding is really low on my list since I don't like too many options and also like set challenges. To add to that I got decision regrets. 1. Gameplay - The foundation and whole point of playing games 2. Diverse races/factions - Makes it exciting 3.
Heh, I like that site. Used to frequent it daily until August last year when an arrogant elitist got me fed up with that place. There are too many arrogant guys over there. AGM knows what he's talking about. He truly understands RTS. I can tell that from reading his posts since 2005 or so when I joined the place. But just like a professor who's an absolute expert in a certain field, he's elitist and maybe a bit arrogant. Those demonstratio
Last game I bought without reading reviews and knowing anything about the game.... Think it was Final DOOM for the Playstation back in 1996. Twas good. Before that I bought Double Dragon V for the SNES since Double Dragon IV and the prequels were so good. BIG MISTAKE! I GOT RIPPED OFF! IT WAS A COMPLETE CLUSTERF*** OF A GAME!!! Paying money to have the computer cleaned..! [e digicons]:S[/e] At first it sounded very dumb but now when I think about it, it might be the same thing as somebody fixing their bike themselves while I turned it in and had it fixed for 20$.
I may be quite unique but I don't like customizing things. I'm always worried that I could have made it better and feel I didn't do a good enough job of it. I also have little interest in it. Designing ships in GalCiv II was a pain. You should just select a style and be able to choose from some models.
There are a million fantasy war games on the market,Many of which with Amazing Depth and Lore that makes Elemental's look like a kindergarten st
That video was bad.....and the embarrassing humour made it even worse.....and you WANT something like that in games??
I think I either don't understand exactly what Brad means or if it's some words I don't get.... Why does race distinctions have to be eliminated to build out the factions? What exactly does lore mean in this context? Just text Like RavenX said or is it something more like Vandenburg said? I want the races to be unique and the factions distinct. If
Perhaps I don't see the big picture (I got problems doing that but I'm great at details) but do you wonder if we want welldeveloped canon races or 5 extra races that the community will choose? The way I see your question, is that you either focus on the canon races OR focus less on them AND develop 5 other races that have a differing bodyshape from Men and Fallen (that we'll vote for amongst 50 finalists?) like Skeletons, Goblins, Ogres, Lizardmen and some 4-a
So races of cities would work like Master of Magic and Age of Wonders in that you can build their units once you capture their cities. Sounds good to me. Isn't it a bit sour for you guys who have worked hard to create the Pariden, Gilden, Capitar and the others just to see everybody make their own faction..? If you go through on this, what would happen to the Trogs and Urxen?
The one custom game I played in GalCiv II, techtrading was the first thing I turned off and as such I'm happy that that option will be in Elemental as well.
This "inactive military" and "workforce" and stuff just sounds complicated and unneccessary and adds macromanagement (I use micro and macro terms from an RTS standpoint.) The Sovereign question is: What does it acheive? To play at your best (like I do), you would check your cities all the time to make sure had have enough pop. ....Like going back to bases every 30sec to build new workers in StarCraft....
MP with people I can talk to (got their Msn/Xfire and such) is a blast. Random people....no....except for RTS & FPS where you get points when they quit. Seems me and Tormy are on the same page. I predict lots of MP between us forumers. And after some games we'll drown this place in balance complaints [e digicons]}:)[/e]
I've read that the Swedish version of Black & White was unpleasant as well (I've never played it.) I remember the Duke Nukem 64 manual. I was 14 back then so almost didn't understand one part of it as the words were so technical *facktermer I do wonder if any game will be as funnily translated as Zero Wing though [e digicons]^_^[/e] <param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/rfMC2aVhYuo
