i sympathize with you. i understand what you are going through (My husband is Hyperborean Wanderer) and i have often felt the same way about soldiers avoiding deployments by getting pregnant....THAT really drives me nuts. I am glad to see that you are a strong individual who supports their husband and can hold your head high when you are alone.....I have a lot of respect for anyone who can do several deployments back to back without falling

Not that I am inpatient or anything, but I would just like to announce to the world at large...... 27 days left!!!!!!! I only have 27 days left of this pregnancy....and coincidentally (or not) about-ish that much time till I see my husband again! So I have twice the reason to be happy!!!!!! <!-- Ju-An

Oh Xtine, That cracks me up....I can just imagine MY husband dealing with that! hhhhhaaaahahahahahahhaha Aren't kids great? I'm just wondering what it will be like with TWO kids....will I laugh twice as hard or will the antics of one cancel out the other ones' behavior? Who knows, but I'm sure it will be fun!

For those who may have read my last blog...you may think that my child is some sort of heathen monster....or a typical two year old. I suppose it depends on whether you have kids of your own. But just as he surprises me with his obstinance and trouble-making abilities....he also surprises me with the opposite. I had to drag him with me to my ob apt today...

Hey, my son just had to see quite a few urologists recently and I am glad you are going into the buisness.....It was very reasuring to have someone who was an expert in an akward situation.....most doctors didn't take me seriously when I complained about my son+ being an "innie" instead of an "outie"...Finally a urologist fixed a boched circumsision and removed scar tissue...Thank god I have a "real little boy" now! <img src="../images/smiles/smile.gi

I admire you for writing this. I too, am a Mormon, but I would never have thought to post my beliefs in a forum where there are so many people who are prone to be critical of others beliefs. I am grateful you opened yourself like this....it brings more insight into who you are....

I'd say that being a mom and a wife is making a difference. Not just for yourself, but for your children and husband. Think of this - how different would their lives be without you right now. That is the difference you made by living. No need to change the entire face of the planet. You've already made a difference in the world o

Fatastic link. I look forward to your future comments on this.....and here I was thinking that my experiences were isolated and unique. I knew that the free speech/equal rights were biased, but I didn't realize how bad that it has become in the schools....

I admit you are very poetic in your reminicing......but you are a psycho! Cold sucks. I grew up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and I hated the below zero weather and the 10 feet of snow. I agree with Xtine that some people are hard wired for cold weather and some are not......but I still suspect that you are insane...

I have been out of the loop for a while and I am so glad to see youa re still sharing your life with us. I had no idea that you spent 25 years in a convent. That must have had a great impact on how you see the world. While I am not Catholic, I am facinated by your stories. I can relate because as I picture you as an impulsive young girl, I see some me. Kudos and I look forward to more. Dana

I'm just grateful that my church puts out an official stance on voting policies. "Go vote. We won't tell you who to vote for, but you need to vote. No one can claim they have our suport because we refuse to pick sides....pray about it and vote how you feel is right." Too bad more people don't see it that way. Too many think they should tell me how to vote because "God only supports.....fill in the blank" and aside from being ar

So after a very long and tiring day, I am resting on the couch. My almost 2 1/2 year old son is playing happily with his toys, which I am so grateful for. I just need 15 min to rest before I make dinner......At this point, I have no idea what I am in for. ***minor segue here....I was a normal child. I would like to think that I was no more destructive, vio

It's interesting how a baby has a 25% chance of survival if born at 23 weeks (no that is not a typo) Micropremies survival rate is on the rise. At 24 weeks the survival rate doubles to 50%. Of all children born before 25 weeks, they have a 50% chance of being 100% normal, 25% chance of needing glasses or having a minor disfunction (ADD or asthma) and a 25% chance of a serious disability. Abortions can be performed up to

if it comes down to going to war with Iran for REAL reasons (ie refusal to stop producing wmd's which they have ADMITED to. And in that case it would be with UN apporval. Actually, I bet that the UN wouldn't do anything for years and years....look at how many resolutions they had against Iraq....nothing

I was being mildly sarcastic.... 'not being able to buy what you want' is 'poor'...well, I'm poor, as are 99% of the world's population. I was pointing out that many of the US population consider that to be the definition. As for me, I go with the <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColor=#F

How old was she? I noticed my grandmother would automatically move, without reason from one side to another. (Later I noticed that she was putting herself as a "shield" for the kids but not for an adult.) I asked her why and she just shrugged...."you always walk on the right" I think older people may do it out of habit. I know i do that too only because was told once not to walk by parked cars.....a kidnapper could grab me and drive away. I d

There have been several articles written that made me start thinking about what defines poverty, poor etc. To give credit where it is due, check out Dharmagirl and Little_whips' articles. Link Link When I was a kid, I thought I was poor. We lived in, no kidding, a tar-paper shack. I was embarassed by my home and rarely brought anyone to my hous

Poor is in your head. (most of the time) I know people who think they are "poor"....they are struggling to make ends meet because their credit cards are maxed out. But they have nice things, I can't afford. Does that make me poor? I know a family of 9 in a 4 bedroom house. 1 car. 1 bathroom. Hand-me-down clothes. They have no credit card debt. no fancy possesions, but no debt other than the mortgage (which is almost finished) A

I think it is silly.....do you really think they would put it on his back? Attached to what? Why not attach it at the waistband where it won't show? Come on.....this is just silly..... Of course if CBS does an article on it....wait, nevermind.
