I was thinking the same thing about those dungeons myself. I knew it wouldn't work in MP period, and I knew I wouldn't like it personally in SP- so glad it's not in the game. Hoping you guys hit it out of the park with Fallen Enchantress. I really tend to dislike mini-games with my games, so fewer to no mini-games is a good thing.

I think with Jon coming on board, and a significant budget for this game still to be spent, that there's reason to hope instead of fear on this end. I'd like to see a portion of the budget set aside just for modders engine requests, if that is feasible though.
I agree with TeamM on this one. And take it from another angle. These troops you are wanting to upgrade were not trained to fight with those weapons, armor, or groups. The only way you should be able to combine them like this is if they were Penelized with a "retraining" Period probably equal to half the training time of a new unit.
I think upgrading should carry an experience penalty and should not be cost-effici
I'd say strategic movement no, tactical movement and DEX loss yes. However, the amount of tactical movement loss should be reducable by high STR. (yeah, I know STR is OP right now compared to the other stats) Combat speed loss on mounted units should be based on the mount. Armor should always be an advantage over no armor, but that advantage should reduce the more DEX you have relative to your STR.
The UI for world creation should be on the select your opponent screen. Also, there needs to both a global AI difficulty toggle, and randomize AI opponents toggle (like GCII had)

I have several SM accounts, despite being older. I was one of the early adopters of Livejournal as we used it for SM stuff back in the 90s, so I got used to it. That said, I'd never post any real important financial information on there, and Facebook does make me wary. I'm warier now then I was a couple years ago even, all due to Facebook and its policies.

Has this been fixed? I remember hearing that work on this got pushed back from 1.1. Not yet, it's on the list.
I hate to sound shrill/overbearing, but this fix here is the #1 thing I expect fix-wise. fr

It takes 2.27 GBs on my laptop now, though I haven't played the game on it yet- it likely would expand as I played it, and as expansions came out. So yeah, you'd need to delete some games you don't want to play. Just be glad SD doesn't bloat their games like many of the big boys do- where it's 15GB, with 14 of it being mostly fluff.
If you buy it now, you'll get a discount on the expansion, you won't get it for free.
I suspect that post-expansion, the WoM patches will mostly be fixes backported from the expansion Honestly, I suspect very few people will stick with WoM after FE comes out, so it may be a waste of resources to give it real post-expansion support.
It's 30 days usually, so too late I believe. Enjoy the free XP's though.

So if my laptop can run the game, is there any advantage to buying the game at the store and having the box?
best bet would be
Isn't this supposed to be in 1.2 anyways, or something like this anyways? Some form of this got axed out of 1.1

I have to use netspeak in this case and OWNED is a nice enough word for this occasion Anyways I see no reason why a song writer is allowed to write one song and live of royalties and people paying to borrow the song for use (since they are not allowed to copy it afterwords and give it to others they are effectively not owning it) while rest of the world gets up early each day and works their ass of
Warning: this is a long post, potentially off-topic, but from my perspective. Part of the problem with Elemental was that Stardock promised more then what they were capable of delivering, which is why the game came out in the state it did. Stardock was overambitious, which can result in bad design even with the best intentions. It was unreasonable to expect a small studio to produce a game as good as MoM, while doing it on an all new graphical engine,

It also seems a bit early to be talking about heading up a new team for a completely new project/game when there still seems so much to be done to EWOM. I just don't really buy the whole, "we don't need expansion packs in this day and age" story. Who is going to keep an older, more inferior game installe
Not a fan of having to see Janusk in every game. I really, really hate that dude. Minor quibble right now. Hoping to get 1.19 this week, finally got my solid state laptop so I want to test it out.
Really smart move.
Also , this game isn't going to do everything. I mean, you don't get a pony just for playing Elemental. Some things are going to have to be left out/abstracted- just to avoid an overbloated design. If you're really into dynasties- Crusader Kings might hold you over for a bit. (Sequel to that comes out soon also)
The only thing SD really wants is a dropbox account, which is actually a useful thing to have for other reasons. Dropbox just requires an email- make a dummy email if you need it. I don't think the request is particularly oneroua.
MP is pretty much the lowest priority for SD. They believe (with reason and backed up by polling) that very, very few TBS players play MP, so they put most of the MP budget into AI development instead. That said, I think with Elemental's AI issues, which are improving but still there, investing in MP is needed for this game. If the AI is good enough, I won't care about MP that much, but it isn't good enough right now.

Which reminds me, i think i read somewhere that TWO expansions would be free for pre-orders? True or what the hell i've been reading? Doesn't seem too ambitious expansion though, "more stuff" basically... Not that i'm complaining (free stuff after all). To face these new challenges, Fallen Enchantress adds a host of spells and magical equipment.
