I see it as a kind of indifference curve Pumping more capital,more time or more labor will allow for either a more ambitious or better executed game, but there are limits, the more of one thing you put in, the less efficient that one thing will be.

Brad toned down the wandering monsters because they were getting too strong in the early game. I think it was overdone some. Skaths on turn 100 is fine. The problem was getting skaths on turn 10 previously.

I've been thinking- several techs I just flat-out don't use, even situationally. It's like the choice is so bad it doesn't exist. The levies idea sounds interesting, but leads me to this question? Why would you research it instead of something else? Part of me is thinking several things in this game technologically, shouldn't be specific techs, but maybe tied into the general tech level instead? That may be a little too out of the box for EWOM, but might be a good idea for FE.

Saw the improvements in 1.19, look nice, but I still think more work could be done in the UI department. a) The casting on individual units in a stack is great , but there needs to be an option to cast the spell on multiple targets, unless this causes more problems then it solves, in which case- save it for later. b ) There needs to be a clear way to handle grouping/splitting from groups. The patch notes look promising. What I'm expecting from 1.2: For the game to meet GC2 DL final pre-expansion patch levels of polish in terms of UI, performance and Stability, to leave the game in good shape for the work that will begin soon on FE. Here's a legit question- how many of us want resources to be spent on War of Magic once FE comes out, if FE ends up a much superior game? I'd rather see the resources spent on what 99% of people will be playing, not the other 1%. That's not to say improvements from FE could be back-ported to EWOM, but I wouldn't want anything over token sums of money/time spent on that, provided FE ends up being what it needs to be.

MoM has improved AI. I wouldn't call it great, but decent. The problem with MoM is that I think there's a little too much bloat in the design. I think Wildmana was in some ways better (the predecessor)

On those areas Brad mentioned in GalCiv 2, he did pick on the weak areas of a very good game. One thing I've noticed, I tend to be much more harsh and vicious on a game the better it is for some reason. It's like I can forget a game if it's crap, but a really good game- those things keeping it from greatness I'll really scrutinize and be difficult about. I have my own biases also. I tend to strongly dislike inelegant design and weak AI.

One UI suggestion of my own: 44) For targetted spells on armies, since you can cast unlimited strategic spells in a turn, allow casting on multiple targets at once? Maybe like AOW2 have right click invert your choices? (don't know how exactly you're designing this right now) Very promising looking changelog right now.

One thing I wouldn't mind seeing, is "dungeon" type goodie huts where you can send adventurers, and have all sorts of various things happen from that, kinda like the lairs from FFH, perhaps though with several of those effects rolled into one: like adventurer gains 2 level, finds a +1 shortsword, but is having to run from a dire skath. You wouldn't know the effects until a few turns later, during which time the adventurer is unavailable (might be 1-4 turns, depending on how epic things
