1) Sometimes when conquering a city, your stack splits up, and is out of moves so they can't enter the city. 2) Sometimes the AI builds a fort in their city. The second issue almost always leads to the first.

I wouldn't mind offhand daggers that counted as shields, only wearable by champions (cannon fodder troops wouldn't dual wield for the most part- I could see exceptions- maybe make offhand wielding an assassin trait that Yithril troops and assassins automatically get, and warriors can pick as a trait) That might be the way to do this. Or have daggers count as weapons or offhand weapons- you can take your pick. might be too much work for this version,
Tried commanding a mounted Gravewarden unit I silver tongued, and it didn't work. Haven't checked with other units, so it would either be an issue with Silver Tongue, or an issue with Staves. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/6609288/1.EleSav https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/6609288/debug0427.err
Best of wishes. I remember you being nice in the IRC room many years ago.
Shame on me for what? For believing that people have the right to choose their own destinies without the interference of pampered wealthy foreigners telling them what they should and shouldn't do? Or perhaps I should be ashamed for not accepting that some arbitrarily chosen group is blamed for a particular tragedy? I don't think workers are "greedy". That's not a term I'd use anyway. What is
Yes, I think FE was a great game, yes I think LH makes it even better, but why ever release a product that isn't your best? There are a lot of bugs and niggling issues that have lingered with the game for a long time, please take the time to fix all known issues before you release it. You are a great company and deserved to be recognised as such, so please release LH in tip top shape instead of
I would like to see this also.

That it may start with a single road
One issue with road building is that not all cities connect to each other. Sometimes that can be really inconvenient. There has to be a middle ground between not turning things into a pile of roads, and avoiding situat
I absolutely agree that we need to take our freedoms back. I do think it will happen, we are changing as a culture, and the younger folks are angry over their lack of opportunities- real change is coming. You can't just blame Republicans for CISPA this time, many Dems voted for it as well. This is one time where I don't blame the Tea Party and the megacorps for what is wrong with America.
Too many outposts early on do stifle your development. I think it's fine. It's powerful, but that+Scrying pool are the useful Pariden traits.
Was really hoping for Sega. Yeah they're on the box of Colonial Marines, but their track record has been pretty good lately. Stardock doesn't need the license to make something good though, and it sounds like they've got plans until 2015 anyways.
They haven't really worked on Urxen/Capitar. Hopefully those races get a rework before the release. Urxen might be balanced by vuln fire/resist cold.
On the new upgrade screen: question: does this mean you can select what your unit upgrades to?
I suspect .85 will nerf Tarth more, as double strike+first strike (best thing about Tarth) will be nerfed by weaker bows. BTW I Don't think you should judge solely on traits. Custom factions aren't meant to be balanced, but I do believe the created races are meant to be balanced with each other, and I do expect that. Tarth+Irane is fine I believe, at least within the bounds of respectability, though without MP it is tough to measure balance.</p
and personally, I believe in due process and not summary execution by cop or mob. Is anyone suggesting they not get a trial?
Lindsay Graham for one. He pretty much says send them off to Gitmo We have to maintain our standards, or we get blights like Gitmo, which is the biggest stain on America's honor since WWII, and with much weaker justification than what we did during WWII.
I like this idea, though it would need some tweaking. Maybe not eliminate evoker completely, but turn it down some.
Maybe Armor Prof should be a trait for created units. I do think proficiency needs to be looked at still. Also, it should be required for some weapons.
When LH is released, if this isn't touched- I think we're probably going to need a community mod to adjust for Stardock's oversights.
The above counter-points are why I've suggested a two-track approach, having one system for troops, one for heroes. Streamlining troops isn't the end of the world. Champions you have more attachment towards, so having more details is necessary, plus with champions, there are a host of other issues that have popped up from removing encumbrance that are unfun or quests will need to be reworked.
is the city full of other units when this happens? more info on when this occurs would be very helpful Thanks!
Sometimes, not always. Sometimes I conquer a city and not all units move into the city- something I suspect is a side effect of the new fighting ends movement mechanic.
No patch this week may be a sign they are really considering some things- this is a good sign right now. I can wait another week or two if it means better systems.
The real issue is too many horses/wargs that are too inexpensive to maintain/train. Cavalry training is traditionally expensive/time-constraining.
If Tarth gets to longbows+ lvl 3 fortress, they pretty much win. Double First Strike is massive, esp with training yard+barracks, and troops are cheap to build also.
I strongly agree, some changes just don't seem to be well thought out. And part of the designer's job is accepting that sometimes changes that are tried don't work, and they need to be reconsidered. What are other changes you don't like Alstein? I would guess that swarming is one, but I don't think that will go. Are there any other changes you think haven't worked out?
&n
I have to agree that I dislike how the encumbrance system changed- for champions. There are many, many issues that the idea just doesn't seem well thought out at all. For normal troops, I like the system. We're not getting a patch this week (no changelog out yet , so assuming no patch) I'm hoping this means Derek is really thinking hard about whether many of his changes are good ideas, because right now about half of the changes in
