I'd been using Stardock software since their Star Emperor game was included in the OS/2 Family Funpak, so it's like 3 decades for me.

Honestly, Factorio eats a tremendous amount of my time. Beyond that, it's mostly been RPGs. Falcom RPGs all work well on my systems. As for Stardock software, I've been playing a lot less of it since I moved every one of my systems to Linux. Now that Proton is doing a lot better, I need to try more of them under that... The one stardock game I've played a lot of recently is Dead Man's Draw, because it works pretty well in Proton aside from sound effects.

I'm probably one of the few customers who started using Stardock products with OS/2, and still buy some of them. I bought more of them on OS/2 though. I really only buy the games now, and I keep one low end computer on windows mainly to play Stardock games. The fact that my windows system is a lowly APU makes me thankful that you guys test your products on modest hardware. By the time you had gone to windows though, I was already multiplatform. Make it so when you're viewing a subject, you can switch it from chronological reply mode, to threaded reply mode. being able to pick between them might be useful. Kind of like when threaded newsreaders were created for Usenet.

There are subreddits I've been in where you get to know the regulars pretty well, but the examples I can think of were ones that moved from another forum to reddit. I only ever visit about 3 subreddits, and Discord is actually the social site I interact with most. I rarely use twitter, and Facebook is something I drop by once every 2 weeks to see what my family is up to... I'm not sure what would make me browse forums directly, I actually have very little time for social media anymore

BBSes in 91-97 starting on an 8086 and 1200 baud, Ran my own BBS in 92-97, Fidonet 93ish-97 (1:15/42,) and some other QWK networks, #OS/2 Undernet starting about 1995-1999, I actually probably talked to Brad once during that because we ran an AMA sort of thing for Stardock once there. Forums heavily from 1998-2012 or so, and now I'm dabbling in Pleroma/Mastodon/Discord. My first computer was actually 1986 and Atari 8-bit, but I didn't get into BBSes until much later.

The thing about Stadia's lag is that your ping time is only one component of the total lag. There's compression and decompression lag and many other things. When they did the tests on lag, it was coming up around 144ms from button press to reaction on the screen in the best case scenario right on Google's network on a nearby server. That's probably around where you would be with your 9-10ms lag time. For me, with a 80ms ping time to google, it'd be around 230ms lag. The bandwidth continues to

I did something similar, but instead of fans that aren't running until they're needed, I have fans that basically run slowly and have advanced bearings so that you can't hear them when they're running at their minimum speed. Those slow fans still keep the computer at under 55c under moderate load without increasing their speed. The weakest link is the GPU though, since it's a lot harder to replace the fans for GPUs than CPU and Case fans, so when the GPU is under load it still gets loud.&nbsp

I hate dealing with social media. I've basically stopped participating on Twitter, and cut facebook down to a couple of times per month. About the only social media I use regularly is Mastodon and Diaspora, mostly because it's not as awful there. I'd rather use forums or discord instead of social media.

Thanks for putting that sale up. I was going to pick the game up anyway, but now I'll probably grab the season pass as well. I used to buy all Stardock games near release, but then I moved my main gaming system to Linux and haven't been buying very many windows only games anymore.
