I played an old version of the game (1.9 i think) which i had left on my wife's laptop last week. I was asking myself if there is any feature i would revive from that old version which had since been lost? The most significant thing about the old version is that the manner system compels you to use magic in order to save manner! This is because the manner system is unit based and when the manner is full, the manner regeneration is wasted - so it compels the player t

I have only just updated to 1.3 so i haven't tested combat yet.... (i spent the last 3 days restarting games because the minor races in my edited map would not spawn, then discovered I'm not allowed!!) but I have frequently encountered the combat freeze bug in 1.2a, you just have to hit the auto resolve button. I try to use my most advantageous attacks first up just in case i have to auto resolve. Dominate power is too good??....?? ah, um, if i get an NP
Oh what about the movie 'Surrogates!?? This technology is perfectly in the right direction!!! I cannot say that level of technology in the movie Surrogates would not be absolutely awesome to try out!! but like without the overkill they did in the movie. (and yes of course I'm thinking how easy it would be to 'score') [e digicons]O:)[/e]
I know exactly how you feel mystikmind. I tried getting back into X3 and I was SO upset at the poor player to game interfacing options. The capability for awesome was all there, but usually it required a ton of mods to add to the game before it ever truly felt fully "fleshed out". I couldn't play the game without the 500k comms mod as well...having to fly close to every station just bored the hell out of me. S
Can't agree, Mystikmind. If that were the case, they wouldn't have gone to the trouble of creating the sweeper to begin with, would they? No, it's about services which can become marketable or a 'one stop shop' type of thing. More logical.
"they wouldn't have gone to the trouble of creating it to begin with" ..... oh yea, wow, how silly of me!! because no one 'ever' goes to all the troubl
I have played X2 and X3, both games are phenomenally intoxicating games,,,, but they do not have much replayability, for me it was about 3 games each and then I'm done with it (one game occupying you for months tho). Even trying to come back after a long time away dousnt work... i tried that just last week, got overwhelmed by a massive 'been there done that' cloud.
I came up with a sovereign quote once that was so funny it cracked me up every time i saw it for the entire game! Wish i could remember what it was?? But it most definitely would have been to rude for this forum, of that you can be assured!!
Programs with detection tools need regular updating, and microsoft are not so committed to this program that they would do that, hence why it is not promoted.

Simply put, if you do not know (or believe) the USG was deeply involved in these Countries troubles (and about a hundred more), then you cannot have an accurate view of what has been going on in the Middle East since John F. Kennedy. You have to go back that far and do a lot of time consuming research through the last 50 years. The evi

Previously when i refereed to the universe being 'infinite' i was talking about open space, not matter. Since i am coming from my original idea on the location within infinity paradox. Location specifically refers to matter, any matter, planets, galaxies, whatever, because any matter that exists, has to have a location, a location within infinity, which is impossible!

Rather than the apple of God's eye, the Carl Sagans of the world would have us believe the still unsupported assumption that the earth is an insignificant speck in the universe, just one of "billions a

True, there was crass reaching for the family audience with that horrible robot dog and the annoying little boy. But there were little background touches like the polytheism that Moore paid much more attention to and the legitimate work role for the 'socialator
