USB instead of IDE? not too bad an idea, except that in my experience USB tend to be just that tiny bit too eager to think up intangible ways to be annoying.... and once it does find a way to be annoying, it is really hard to fix.... due to the basic lack of possible causes. Kindof like throwing an apple in the air and it gets stuck there! how? why? oh no reason at all, its just stuck there, in mid air for absolutely no reason at all, so ergo, how do you fix it???????? The only thing I saw (from his post) that's obvious (for gaming) would be wiping/reloading the PC with Windows 7 64-Bit. Perhaps upgrading to a more modern video card, or not, the 8800 is still not that bad. Lastly, buying an SSD to be your boot drive
To the OP: Are you thinking of Intel or AMD?
Intel.... i only ever bought 1 AMD system and that system somehow managed to run games more slowly than the system it replaced, even though on paper, it was more than twice as fast. Never touched AMD again Edit: i should mention that i bought that AMD system because Intel pissed me off changing their socket design too frequently.

Thanks for the advice everyone, all good points depending on priority and money. Nowdays i have no money, all the time and my gaming strategy has been to buy old $5 dollar games from sites like GOG.com, i can never buy new games, so therefore i have absolutely no need for
So all this is mainly generated out of copyright enforcement? The way things are going, soon enough we will be needing to change the old saying "nothing is certain but death and taxes" to, "nothing is certain but death and copyright". A more realistic twist to the movie 'serenity'... the disaster on the planet Miranda occurred because 'they' tried to control peoples brains to stop them violating copyright laws. In Sta
looking at upgrading my 4 year old computer - specifically so i can use larger maps in FE without crashing mid game. Same for Dreadlords. It is not that i need a faster computer, the speed is fine, stability is the issue here. Currently i'm running Vista home premium 64 bit, 2.4 GHz Quad core, NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT graphics. It is a bit of an obstinate, over sensitive uncooperative system which spent the past 4 years forcing me to dumb down every bios and other set

I had a dragon in my territory once for a long time. It did not attack the nearby city, possibly because i had a dragon in the city?? Then after a very long time, it suddenly ran around that city and was heading right for the next city along which did not have a dragon in it. So i killed it with my dragon before knowing what it was really going to do? Anyway, the dragon in your game may have been intimidated by the AI city garrisons for some reason, and that is why it did not attack?
I watched a couple of movies this past weekend.... first movie, The man with the iron fist. This movie already irritated me right at the start by pausing the combat every few seconds for opening credits. Then as the story progressed, my yawns were barely held off by the occasional bit of combat until i could wait no longer for the staggeringly slow plot development to take shape and hit the stop button. This movie would be perfect if it was a cheap porno with the corny writing we all
BTW I wasn't talking about the initiative of the units, I see really nothing wrong with that system. My units get to act, they just don't get to move first. Usually when it is a unit's turn, they will move first, then act- i.e. either cast a spell, attack, or pass. What's happening is then when it is their turn, they won't be able to move first to perform their attack. Usually the battlefield will be highlighted in green squares

This is what i think about Adventurer skill... If you look at it in terms of the number of hero's in WOM then yes it is way overpowered. If you look at it in terms of the number of heros in FE then it becomes a 'junk' trait.
Quoting Mystikmind, reply 8 As reasonable as that sounds, it is in my opinion a huge backward step in the struggle to make turn based combat more realistic. The faster an unit is, the more often it gets to attack. Thats much more realistic than both units simply trading blow for blow no matter how fast or how big they are, IMHO. I mean, imagine a huge lumbering giant wielding a half-ton club fighting a dagger-wielding pixie that
Very good questions? As far as i can tell..... all traits are random but higher level traits have no chance of appearing until after you have selected the lower level trait. In order to properly control the development of a Hero, you will need to be reloading the game incessantly - so for me, that is just too much work, so what i do, i simply choose to focus on other things in the game and pretty much ignore Hero development
