Initiative definitely need to be fixed by reigning in those extreme turn outcomes! There is nothing to fix. The more initiative you have, and the less initiative the enemy has, the more often you get to move than them(and vice versa). That's what initiative is supposed to do. If your unit has 2 times higher initiative than the enemy,
Quoting Mystikmind, reply 1I am all for some level of randomness but this is crap There is no randomness when units get to move in tatical battle. It is based off the initiative. Initiative shows when actions occur... If you have high initiative and they have low, this non-action should never occur. But the other way around, it is plausable with the current system...
Yea, i wondered why enemy gets
Typically anything with 'Lord' in the name usually turns out to be less powerful than first imagined. Take 'Lord of the rings' for example and you think, "wow, lord of all rings, that must be powerful" "watch me mow down all those trolls with lightning bolts, watch me summon a giant elemental to fight for me" Oh yea, Lord of the rings.... then you find out it just make you invisible, or greedy, that it, big whoop, Not lord of the rings, lord of the flops!!!
Compared to most games in general i would give FE an 8 out of ten, but.... if i had to rate Galciv out of ten then galciv would get 10 and FE would have to be pushed down to about 2
There was a city penalty tried in WOM but it was really bad and everyone screamed and shouted about it..... Dev's probably don't want to risk a repeat?? But apart from above, you do get heavily penalized from too many cities in terms of computer performance!!!!

I have noticed the tactical battle is wacko in terms of unit turns. Some units will get three turns before another unit gets even its first turn! I am all for some level of randomness but this is crap. No unit should be allowed to get more than one turn behind full stop.
Have you tried running the windows performance report?
I have played the campaign up to that point twice. The first time some other issue went wrong so i started again and then went on to finish. The battleborn armies were mere cannon fodder to me, both times. I had sufficient strength from the previous map to plow through them using auto calc and rest a bit here and there to regain health. The trick is, you need to wait around in the first mission for gold and research to provide some decent equipment. I went a bit extrem
A few more things to try: 1) Try cancelling all auto moves, saving and restarting game. 2) Go on an attacking spree, kill every monster/enemy you reasonably can, then save reload game. 3) Try cancelling all city construction/unit projects save and restart game. 4) Try deleting all the units you don't need, saving and restarting game. It is highly likely one or any combination of the above is going to work.
Definitely NO on the Mana upkeep. You could probably do a fractionally tiny gold expense to represent the cost to feed them.
Thanks Next time i will remember to raze the camp quick smart.

You guys got it all wrong, he is doing a Cher (on the battleship)
Is it possible to stop my city producing mercenaries without destroying the mercenary camp?
All roads lean to Rome.....Rom.....Ro.....RRR.... All roads lead to RANDOM!
I made my first map and played it last weekend. I noticed the adjacent resources did not appear to attach to the city at first when completed. After a long while they decided to suddenly link to the city; "Daarrr, rr, um, me be standing here long time and then accidentally i did stood on da red button, axi, dentall i think it caused big linking to that city thingy over dere"
Stamps are most commonly used by spoiled children who don't get their way, usually accompanied with screaming. Also in ancient times before the internet was invented, if people wanted to communicate without using a phone, they had to use 'Stamps' to post pieces of paper with written messages on them, weird eh? Bart's elephant called 'Stampy' A post Christmas sale is more appropriately called a 'st
I have been trying to build an FE map as well. I was able to change starting locations the same as WOM, however they all disappeared along with all my quests! Even after restarting the game and reloading the map, still gone! Then a week later i decided to try again, loaded that same map and to my surprise, all the quests and starting locations were back!!.... figured they must just have been on holiday or something???
Thanks for the replies, But how can people make their own maps if they cannot edit these terrain resources?? seems very bizarre? And what are the implications of founding a city where none of these terrain bonuses exist? Can i compensate with terrain bonuses from the terrain bonus list?
Hi I am fairly new to FE - only played the campaign so far. For my first normal game if FE, i wanted to make a map and throw down all the different quests/goodies/monsters/terrain bonuses etc etc in the game so i can see what they all do. I did this for WOM too and it was fun! But then i noticed these strange looking readouts hanging above certain terrain? usually near any automatically chosen starting locations. I have also seen a
