You can play SWTOR in a window while playing FE. Believe me, I know this for a fact. I've made a lot of credits in SWTOR sending my guys out on missions. I can make artifact quality hilts and color crystals now $17k apiece on the market -- thanks to FE (because I wouldn't have had the patience to do that much crafting if I wasn't also playing FE in another window).

I got my first bill from DTE since switching it over. The holiday stuff jacked up our power use a lot so this is atypical but this is what it netted: Net usage: 1,920 KWH @ $0.13 per KWH Supply back to grid: 546 KWH @ $0.11 per KWH Bill: $189.54 The Net usage means I actually used more than 1,920KWH (embarassingly enough). It's just that the solar panels during the day absorbed some of th
The more games in the TBS genre the better off we all are.

I thnk more people would prefer to see it this month than to wait until that feature gets through the queue which could be an extra month. It's a judgment call of course and it's up to Derek but t
Quoting Frogboy, reply 21Yep, there is: Damn whats your MTBF - mean time between feature
Well the next step would go something like this: Have a new message OnClick: If there's a destination then go through that list and display the dots to the destination. It's still a good day or two type feature so it probably won't make it in for Beta 1. But it's clearly doable.
We can choose which ones are on? Nice! This will be invaluable to some of my expansion packs that plan on having mostly monstrous armies.
One of the things being done to make the campaign more interesting is letting the campaign designer set in XML the behavior of different players. This lets us be able to have a campaign without any traditional AI players.
Yep, there is:
It should be doable. I know in WOM it was an issue because a lot of this stuff was in a single thread. But in FE, a lot of these calculations are done in the background so we've been able to indulge ourselves. I am pretty sure that in FE, the path is now stored as a linked list rather than brute forced during the move like in WOM. I'll look.

Re tactical AI: Once I get in there, I'm going to put in the concept of Aggro. The only tactical AI thing (movement wise) I did was change the way it used to just target a unit and follow that one unit around which was horrible. The AI magic use in tactical is terrible too. I may hold off on playing further into this until new tactical map stuff and the updated cloth map get in because all that brown is really starting to annoy me.
Quoting Sir_Linque, reply 33I don't know if I like the raise / lower land spells too much. The visuals of the unnaturally raised mountains are pretty ugly and kind of lay waste to interesting aspects of a map. Are you completely sure that the land modifying spells are contributing to the game in a fun way? I had same feeling about it. It kind of make hills and special map locations pointless. Would n
I'll ask.
Updated with Part 2.
Eventually most/all the games will be on there. They have to be packaged and it's one team doing the games and non games and there's a lot more non games. It's getting there, albeit slowly.
One thing that is going to be interesting is that in FE, players can trespass in each other's territory. You can tell them to get out or you can go to war with them and vice versa.
Cancer guns: activated.

That needs to be a 30 turn pact or have a way to break it or have open borders included as part of it.
May want to wait until you're playing. The pacing of FE is...very different. Right now, for good or ill, the first 100 turns are just the setup.
Brad, if your convinced that having FE labeled as Elemental will bring with it no ill will from WoM, then your choice is clear. Elemental: Fallen Enchantress. The name implies only a tie with a certain realm, nothing more. The game is not a sequel, nor a remake, just a whole new game played in a familiar world. Mentioning WoM or anything to do with sequels will only confuse buyers. Quoti
The problem with calling it Elemental II is that Elemental was designed to be the world name. To this day, I wish I hadn't called it Galactic Civilizations II. The roman numeral thing is something everyone is moving away from. It's no longer Batman III or Superman 6 or what have you. Like I said earlier, if WOM had been a hit, it would have been Elemental: War of Magic II. Similarly, it's not Star Wars II: X it's Star Wars: Knights of the

We're tweaking things so that that is much much rarer.

If we dig it, and let the word out, folks are going to give it a chance. If we're not digging it, the franchise is toast. One question: are there still plans for a third Elemental game besides the RPG like originally intended, provided this does well? [
Stupid question but does the sequel/expansion have a real fallen enchantress to be found/tell about/play/play against? If no, then why calling it fallen enchantress at all?
Yes, the campaign revolves around her.
BTW, the marketing people hate that I like talking about the why's of WOM's problems. I just think it's important because most companies aren't at liberty to divulge their own dirty laundry.
The reason you're giving FE free (or discounted) to most of us here is because you want to make good on the promise of WOM and repair damage to SD's reputation caused by WOM. Everyone here understands what happened with WOM due to the many postmortems posted by SD employees. For us the only thing remaining is whether or not FE is a good game. New players don't know that story (SD's openness about mistakes, the process to fix them, etc).
