We made the DLC but the limitations of WOM's engine made it not fun. It's going to get ported to FE. But yea, the DLC exists, it's written by Dave Stern and it's about Ambrose.

Every monitor is different. Therefore, how the game looks will depend on your monitor. We have tried to come up with a default that looks good on the most monitors but we would like to see what the consensus is with tens of thousands of beta testers. Therefore: Go to options Click on the Video tab There are 3 settings: Ambient LIght Brightness Contrast Adjust them to the point that you are most sat
That might be a bit OP.
I'm watching. Pretty cool.
Something's bugged.
While no longer run Impulse, our contract with our various worldwide bandwidth providers are still active. This afternoon, despite only having the beta open to the original WOM beta group, we were doing 3.2 gigabytes per second (not bits, bytes). Next up: Beta 2 on a single T1. ;)
Most tiles have no yields.
For some reason, the AI isn't building catapults in this build. Anyone want to help debug this line of code?
You don't need the email if you're here already. The beta gets added to your account automatically. You don't have to do anything. If you have any questions, just go to the download.stardock.com page and check your WOM data.
Let me preface this that I am one of the people here that wants MP in Elemental games. While I ultimately approved FE not having MP, it was with considerable consternation. If you guys knew what % of the WOM budget was put into MP you'd be shocked (>30%, mainly because of the dynamic, worldwide virtual machine server infrastructure that was developed -- every game is a "pit boss"). So I can assure you, it is literally impossible to be more disappointed than I am. :) <p

As one of the people pretty disappointed that multiplayer isn't in the base game, I at least had the opportunity to participate (and ultimately approve) the rationale as to why multiplayer wouldn't be in FE. A lot of the feedback we got was that if we weren't going to be able to have tactical battles have multiplayer support then the whole thing would be dissatisfying. So then the question was, how long would it take to rewrite the tactical battle system to support it and
So we are going to have to buy an expansion to get multiplayer? Seems kind of like a cheap way to make money off people who already stuck around this long or am I just reading the OP wrong?
There may or may not be MP in some future expansion. I'd like there to be a MP expansion since a lot of work (i.e. money) was spent on the multiplayer subsystems. Right now, we're concentrating on Fallen Enchantress and m
I'm running the beta. I don't know what your issue is... ;)
(1) FE has over 3 different types of loot: Sausage, Gold, or Sausage (2) FE supports both 640x480 resolution with 16 colors OR 320x200 with 256 colors (3) FE copy protection is that the player is always connected to our server playing ala remote desktop. So there is no code on your machine. (4) Relate to #3, max FPS is 10 frames per second. (5) Music is handled through an optional Ad Lib sound card. (6) If you are having trouble launching the game, make
Aww, that will be very nice. Once you see you have them whipped or have lost hope, even, watch it auto resolve.
Yea, the first hint to people who know me that I didn't work on the tactical AI in WOM was that there was no auto-battle feature because without it, how can I easily test AI vs. AI behavior? Now, in FE, the AI behavior is still pretty crappy (the new APIs aren't hooked up yet) but it's 100X better t
Why, why do you put yourself to the limit of 2 GB? I got 8GB that want to be played with so going 4GB on my machine is totally cool since the other 4GB are rarely/never used Plus I agree with the UI stuff, still waiting to play FE in the Beta
2GB is all 32-bit Windows can deal with no matter how much RAM you have and half the PC gaming population has 32-bit Windows.
Already in.
Just click on the top forum of what you want. You should get all the new posts in all subcategories as well of it).
The AI currently sends all units to 0,0 each turn. But the animation is smooth. What more do you want?
I disagree with Frogboy's statement that if Fallen Enchantress fails that stardock cannot make great PC games. You still have SINS(Which seems wildly successful and its two expansions) and you have SINS Rebellion coming up and its promising to look very awesome. You also have the Galactic Civ games as well which are still doing well after a long period of time.
Ironclad Games developed Sins of a Solar Empire, not St
They mean that you can modify them.
You should join us on Kaas if you can. We've got a few people from here in our guild now. I'm a level 30 Sith Marauder.
Having spent a lot of time on both, the biggest problem with WOM's combat system was lack of variables. It was too simple and as a result, Lord Hammers were always the best melee unit and it was always best to have the heaviest armor. The saddest part about WOM's combat is that it didn't really need a lot more variables, just a few. In FE, you've got things like weight, accuracy, initiative right off the bat. Then we have the ability to give weapon
We are very excited...and scared...to let people have it. On the one hand, the beta will be more polished than our usual release-level games. But on the other hand, we don't know if people will like it or not.
