I'm not sure where we'll go after Legendary Heroes. I guess it depends on sales. :) I do know there's a lot of DLC plans (loot, maps, spells, equipment, etc.). But in terms of the overall direction of the Elemental universe, that remains to be seen. Right now, we've been fortunate enough to get some amazing talent that's on board ready to do whatever comes next. We've got Dorian (who was largely responsible for the general look of Civ V), Tom Symo

I don't think you'll ever see pre-battle tactical placement. I'd veto that. Hate hate hate that sort of thing. But I would like to see something that lets the player set where units, in general, get placed. That is, designate unit types (including champions) so that the placement happens better. We've been doing that recently in LH with smarter algorithms (your champions, based on class, won't end up on the front line now for instance). Bu
Tactical battles are designed to allow your strategic decisions to manifest themselves. That is the design point and we are very pleased with how Legendary Heroes has come out in this way. For players who prefer quantity over quality in their armies, we have the swarm mechanic now in LH. For players who prefer to see their units fight many units at once, we have added a slew of new weapon abilities to let them focus on that. Speaking for myself, I don't enjoy games
i am sad when luck of design, and polish is confirmed this way: "it was not in the focus" If it was not in the focus why we got: -self designed units, -so many armor and weapon types - trait tree for the heroes These features are only usable in tactical battles, but right now you dont need it, you just have to click on attack the nearest enemy and win...
Galactic Civili
Do you mean concluding like, concluding the Fallen Enchantress games and no more expansions?...
Concluding in this case meaning the end of this particular story line.
Hello i have bought Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes on Steam. On your Webside you write that it is Including the old Fallen Enchantress but i have no Access to this game. No Serial, no way to Select the old Game in the New Game. How can i play the old game ?
Legendary Heroes is a stand-alone, so when you buy it without havign FE, you get what was in FE plus what's in LH. They're integrated.
Mother of all Retcons! What happened to the godlike being inside the world of Elemental?
You're not supposed to know about that being. That hasn't changed. That being is the source of the magic in the first place, one of the last Mithrilar.
Believe me, I'm very conscious of the vagueies over the written word. I've had sarcastic responses used as "evidence" in lawsuits. So I can definitely appreciate how difficult it is to communicate online. My only point is that the forums are here for people to chit chat about whatever the topic is at hand. It is most definitely not a place to expect a lot of "We apologize for the inconvenience" type support people responses. For that, you have to contact support. :)
I'd suggest updating your video drivers. It sounds less like a memory leak and a video card bug (if you're seeing UI elements disappearing and such, that's not the game).
Some AI tweaks too regarding diplomacy.
I tolerate Steam But what many publishers/developers forget is that there are many people who hate Steam just enough, for them to pass on the game.
Unfortunately, it's a trade off developers are willing to make. Using Steamworks solves numerous issues for developers and publishers that would be costly or difficult to solve on their own. In the same sense that we will, unfortunately, lose some customers
Quoting Frogboy, reply 57virtually every person will choose based on price and not where it's made. It's a fact of life. The point is pretty obvious, myfisto0. I don't think many people would want to go back in time and live in 1963 when a television and a phone were major purchases for a family. We enjoy the lifestyle we have today because of globalization and the freedom of people everywhere to work where they so choose. Obviously, you think corporations and globalization are a bad thing. Am I misinterpreting you?
Its not a matter of willing, its do this or starve. That's not choice. And anyone profiting off putting workers through conditions like those should be prosecuted for manslaughter ... I don't care if its corrupt Bangladesh officials or stock traders on Wall Street. It gets really old listening to the wealthy complain about how greedy workers are, slamming underpaid workers as not being responsible when their full time wages don't even cover th
You wouldn't target other Champions. You'd cast it on the champ you want to die. And then its XP gets distributed.

This may sound...you know...horrible but I'd love to see a spell that took a champion's overall level of experience and distributed it equally to all remaining champiosn in exchange for....you know, its permanent death? Sort of a retiring. Is that too ghoulish?

Overall, it is quite good, which is saying something given the challenge of all of the new features. It seems like some of
Quoting Draginol, reply 130. Awesome! Any chance those AI updates include improvements to the tactical battle AI? I've had several battles where the AI would defend or retreat its units instead of attack, which cost it the battle. That's about the only real tactical error I've seen so far (which is quite excellent).
I saw that too tonight. I asked Derek to see if someone could check that out
They bid >3X what we had bid so they seriously wanted it. That's a serious commitment to the franchise. I think it'll be fine.
Now that the numbers were out, in the first round, the high bid was $800k. I think we bid $400k and there were a couple of others at $250k and below. We dropped out at that point. We figured if someone was bidding $800k immediately then they'd likely go far higher (the final bid was something like $1.5M). If we weren't the publisher of Sins of a Solar Empire it would have been tempting to try to have kept bidding. I'm not disappointed that Gearbox got i
Heh. this sound exactly like the conversation I had with Kael today.
I've given some thought to this discussion and looked at the code today and made a few changes. Basically, in subsequent updates of the LH betas, the odds of a monster wanting to attack a city will now be greatly diminished based on the # of units you have in the city and what city level the city is.
