Squads already work as people are requesting, even in beta 4. They even lose guys and disappear and reduce their strength.
Crafty - how much beta testing of MOM's tactical battles did you do? Did they implement your ideas?
I'm on US and I'll happily play. I was Platinum during the beta. :)

I like the concept of # of spells you can cast to turn being tied to wisdom. Wisdom is under utitlized I think and makes for an "interesting choice" at level up time.

It would be great if someone could gather this stuff together. I'll be writing this stuff from the airplane on the way to G4. At G4, I will be demoing the internal version of the game which looks somewhat different from the public beta (different UI).

Spells a Casting Time? Definitely something we can look at but it'll be a post release update. Not enough time to implement and balance.

Even Galactic Civilizations I used more than a gig and that was 7 years ago.

However, it appears (quite obviously) that on some systems that it simply doesn't do that.
Great stuff! I agree. Quest Locations depend on the level of the quest (Level 1: Inn, Level 2: Huts, Level 3: Ruins, Level 4: Dungeons, Level 5: ?). The number you get is based on the size of the map. Regarding the unit design screen. I think the key missing thing here is Combat speed. That is probably the difference. Great feedback though.
Hi Das. 13. Talking FPS indeed. We will continually optimize it but it's pretty close to where we expect it to be. 19. I think I agree with this. What do others think? Seems to me that operating a bow should be quite a bit slower. On the other hand, we might be able to just lower the combat speed of the weapon a lot and that would have the same affect. We do want to support a Legolas type unit if the player focuses on this.
Hi there! Thanks for the kind words. Indeed, the release version will be quite a bit different in many different respects (visually, gameplay, and balance). When I get a chance, I'll write up a journal that walks players through the new UI, the special abilities, the updates spell system, updated quest system, etc.
If you can, uninstall and reinstall the Elemental Beta. I'm finding that Impulse didn't remove the file corespells.xml and a few other items and these have a pretty major impact on stability and gameplay.

I think you're touching on something there Jag. It's almost as if the garbage collector simply doesn't work on some systems. On our setups, it goes up 3MB and then goes away after a few seconds.
