Can you post the debug.err again? I know it's the issue I ran into.

My understanding is that everything through Australia has to go through some crazy level of ratings board stuff before it can go on sale.
Your your documents folder there is "my games" delete the elemental folder.
Thanks!
It's going to get a lot LOT LOT of looove in the coming weeks in the modding area. We felt that custom factions were going to be too gimped if they remained part of the setup options.
hah. I KNOW the problem. You guys were all in the beta right? Go to: c:\programdata\stardock and delete the Elemental directory. Now, when you do this, you'll have to reactivate the game. But this should take care of it. I had the problem you're running into IN FRONT OF A REVIEWER on my last trip. <img src="http://content.screencast.com/users/draginol/folders/Jing/media/19532231-709b-40ba-ab59-c001efbdde57/2010-08-23_0
Brad, you mention a 64 bit version, is that a separate game that I need to wait to buy, or is it an option when installing? what is dat?
64-bit version will be free and released as a future update. It'll be invisible to those who already have 64-bit Windows.
If the game crashed, there should be a file in a directory called \programdata\stardock\emenetal It would be a .zip file that has all the info in it. In addition, in your documents\my games\elemental there is a debug.err that would tell us a little more about your computer.

You guys don't want to know what we gave up (financially) to be able to give out the bonus quests to all users after 90 days.
Yes. You will all get the same stuff at some point later on. Best Buy and Walmart paid for additional content to be made (just like Random House did for the book). But in the case of the retailers, it was agreed that all content that was made for them would be able to be given out to all players within 90 days.
I am seeing, what looks like an uUpdated version of elemental, but when attempting to install (from scratch), I receive an error stating my registration is invalid. Is there an easy way to fix this?
Yes. Wait until we release it. :) ~80 minutes from now.
Make sure you have Impulse installed. When you click "get update" it should open up Impulse.
Different retailers paid for additional quests to be made. They won't be available until AFTER the official release date. In addition, those quests will be made available to all players at a later date.
You will have to wait until after August 24th to find out.
quoting postIt is beyond the digital gold version but it isn't day 0 either. How many incremental builds do you have in-house anyway?
None. Hence the delay. We had the gold version (from several days ago) and we were working towards the day 0 version which was supposed to go Monday morning.
There is no activation in the retail version. That is all we're going to say today.
If you load up Impulse and use your serial # you can download the latest retail release version and it will work. That is how that person on YouTube got it to work.
Hi guys, We're play testing through a pre-day 0 version of Elemental. It is beyond the digital gold version but it isn't day 0 either. We hope to have it up in the next couple of hours. Stay tuned. Update: And we do plan to make it available for pre-order users today too.

How do you think SC2 manages to alt-tab perfectly well while older, less resource intensive applications cannot? A roll of the dice? Hmm, let me think ... could it be perhaps that different coders all use different code to do things? Nah, evidently there is only one true code, and SC2 is the one that does it
Strange, you were ranked at 666(not a good number in my book) and they were 387 and they won? Is that a bug of some sort? Thats almost double what they are, but perhaps the dragon was the most of it, and if the dragon died that would explain it.
Poor scouting on my part. This is what happens when you don't have any calvalry. I was a paper tiger. By the time I reached all their archers, they had mowed me down.
Wait a minute...that Full Fledged Dragon got wiped out by a nuch of peon soldiers? Yeah, they need a boost. I liked it better when Dragons could take on massive forces of people at once.
Peons? They had massive massive numbers of archers.
