Its the suing bit that gives me the willies. Certainly in our case, I've never had a lawsuit against us that I thought there was any chance w

Your loyal fan (and wish stardock was publicly traded) P.S. To Froggy If bunny slippers were your idea, are we going to be expecting bunny armor at some point?
;) <
Heh. I like bunny slippers!
I don't think I'm alone in fandom in pretending that sucky sequels simply don't exist . (I mean, it's weird how they went straight from Star Trek IV to Star Trek VI without a fifth movie, isn't it? And I keep hoping they'll make a sequel to The Matrix ...)
You are definitely my type of people.
Whoa, Brad, whoa, rebooting SC with brand new aliens would be playing with fire. Those of us who've been playing PC games for 30+ years have grown very fond of our early IPs. Mucking around with these too much will certainly bring flames of wrath scorching the forums to ash (sneering at you, Simcity). Bringing Paul and Fred on board or, at the very least, getting them to publicly endorse and praise any new g
In 1.3, the enemy sovereign should never be traveling alone except at the very very beginning of the game. So I'll keep an eye out for that.
I wish I could take credit for this but I saw the loot back DLC for Legendary Heroes today. What astonished me most was just how much better the game can look just with improved artwork. That is, give units better (visually) armor, weapons, and other goodies and it really shows off how advanced the engine is.
Nothing was touched with tactical. Just strategic.
Interesting, there have been a number of articles tying success to people who don't require much sleep. Seems like many CEO's / Executives claim not to need much sleep, though I'm only familiar with the anecdotal claims -- not sure if a study has been done on success vs sleep requirements. Not to deflect your thread from the flame warriors site, just thought it was interesting you don't need much sleep.[/q

Some of us have also posted about our life philosophies as they relate to the environment which to me anyway, is the part of this thread which is most interesting. I mean in the end does it really matter that we 'chose a side' in the AGW debate? Have we

v1.2 is better than v1.1 in terms of AI. But that was mostly fixing "low hanging fruit". v1.3 has been a lot lot more work (which is why it's taking longer). Path finding in these kinds of games is a notorious challenge. Computing power hasn't done much to improve pathfinding other than make its stupidity work faster. Every time I work on a game I think THIS time, the path finding will be perfect because we can use X computing power and we'
I'm back from vacation and working on it. The AI was getting far too paranoid about dealing with the monsters. There's a fine line between risk management and bunker mentality. It didn't affect all AI personalities. The "Expansionist" AI personality was unaffected.

I don't think her philosophy "objectivism" is any more realistic than any other utopian ideology. I honestly think Phil would be better off having partners and being part of a larger company. Reading the comments directed at him made me absolutely disgusted with the gaming community (in general). This is precisely why I prefer to make strategy games. The demographic who I'm working for matters a lot to me. Anything that weeds out the scum. :)
