My game has ctd aswell today. I only got the game recently so it's my first ever game that I started on 1.3 and I'm at season 441. I've been playing for a good few hours on 1.4 no problem up to this. After the ctd I restarted the game, loaded last autosave and moved a couple of units and then I got a blue screen of death!!

Edit: So played for a few more turns on from my autosave and straight to BOD again. Damn I think I will have to abandon that game now. 
Will starting a new game with 1.4 will make any difference?
