"Sanguine Nights – Darkest Blood is a 3D multiplayer, action/RPG hybrid built upon the Unity game engine, available upon release for Linux, Mac and PC. The game itself is set in the dystopian city of New Tenebra, where ancient creatures guilty of the sin of hubris were cursed by God and rejected by the natural order, although the races of Vampirism share little in common."

Basically taking the vampire:bloodlines engine and making a new game with the same dark theme of Vampire The Masquerade, but changing it enough so there won't be a lawsuit.

Thank you for your interest in Sanguine Nights - Darkest Blood. We are not using the Source engine like Vampire: the Masquerade - Bloodlines did. Our similarities with Vampire: the Masquerade go as far as Vampires in a modern, urban environment. Our main influence is the lore and mythology of the various peoples of Europe, Asia and Africa.

We are also keeping a close eye on Anne Rice's works, the Hellblazer series (John Constantine comics) and the Zoroastrian cosmology.
