Umber
We have always been here. The Umber has never played an important role in the world, there are no written history, it is as we never where. Until now.
The people of Umber were never slaves, the empire never wanted us in their homes or in their places of craft. Yet, we were always there. Living under the bridges, in the darkest spots in the castles, in the woods outside the largest cities. We were the crows of society. If you threw out your leftover food and grabage in the streets in the evening, it would be gone in the morning. We were not spat upon, we were not bullied, we were ignored. An Umber child`s first lesson is to stay low and silent. An Umber adult is not a big fierce warrior, but light, nimble and very fast. When the plague swept the Empire of Kraxis in the days of long past, a third of the people of Kraxis perished. Among the Umber only a few got sick. We live, eat and survive the hard way.
The cataclysm is no cataclysm for us. We call it The Dawn. The people of the world speak of hardship, famine, monsters and arid land. For us it is opportunities and our chance to rise. We eat what others do not, we can survive on all kinds of meat, monster droppings, roots and whatever has energy. It is time for the Umber to rise and show that the world is not arid and unhospitable. IT IS OURS NOW!

Horses and wolf lairs act as a food source (as 1 grain/food each)
All Umber units are immune to poison
All Umber units heals one point of damage in strategic and tactical mode
+10 to Dodge
Unique spell: Plague of the Chatao. Expensive spell which stops population growth for all players except Umber for 10 turns.
Unique building: Heap of Waste. It is not much that the Umber does not consume, but these few scraps are collected on the Heap of Waste. This Heap is used for breading Plagued Stalkers, that are trained and used as warriors for the cause.
Throwing knives does triple damage.
Negative effects:
-2 hitpoints pr level
+50% cost for recruiting heroes
-10% production i all cities as Umber is not used to constructing
