If I play a large map and 7 or more factions the game slows down and crawls as you play -- Can I do something with the settings to speed it up -- I have a quad processor and I don't seem to have problems with medium size maps and fewer than 6 factions as opponents.
Try turning the sound and sound effects off. Also, play on the cloth map as that will speed things up. I only play on large maps with 6 or more opponents and that is what I had to do. I hope this helps.
