Think of Civ 5 like Chess.  It plays more like a game of Chess to me than Civilization.  That's how I personally got over the "why did you kill Civ 5 Jon?" attitude myself.

I think they should have called it Civilization Chess I instead of Civilization V.

Could you put at least a sentence or three behind why you bothered to reply to this apparent flame-bait with a link to a generic stats page? Some of us don't follow game biz-buzz closely and are still feeling generally hopeful about Stardock's new major hires. I didn't think this OP deserved any response at all, but now I wonder if there's something worth discussing that you & Trojasmic are avoiding with snarky replies. Please edify me & others like me.

Many people did not like Civ5, but it sold humongous amounts of copies, and LOTS of people are still playing it today. To say that someone "killed" Civ5 is ludicrous because of this. Civ5 was, in every aspect, a huge success. It just wasn't Civ4 done better.

In fact Civ 5 is so succesful no one plays multiplayer for it and the steam achievements reveal no one plays it more than a few times. Can the sheer amount of pure Success contained within this game really exist within our fragile physical reality?

Wow why are you wasting your abiltiy to make reality conform to fantasy on trying to make Civ 5 into a good game. Make yourself king of Mars or something.

Troll and flame baiting. There's been several other threads about Civ5 here and the topic has been hammered at until it's dead, deceased and no more. Go post on a Civ5 forum where people actually give a shit. This is a forum about Elemental.
