I've been playing through the Campaign with the version the game shipped with and I've noticed several problems :
1-I can no longer advance in the storyline as far as I know of. I've discovered the kingdoms of Pariden, Gilder, Tarth, and Capitar and explored everywhere the map allows me to(see #2). I'm at the point in the storyline where you are supposed to warn the different kingdoms about the Dark Legion coming from the North and I'm not able to reach the city in Tarth. There is an area around the city in Tarth that you cannot set as a destination for your units and no event message pops up when you approach the city (as close as you can get) to advance the storyline.
2-Some areas of the map are not available to set as a destination for your units, noticeably the area North of the plains NorthWest of the Capitar fortress, the area around the city in the kingdom of Tarth, and the area in the sea near the Fire Shard hidden behind the Enchanted Gateway. If these areas are temporarily inaccessible due to the storyline, there should be some kind of notification in the game every time you approach one of these areas so you know there's at least some kind of reason you can't go to a location that looks completely passable.
3-Disembarking from a ship is problematic. Only one unit can disembark from the ship at a time and that unit must then be moved before another unit can get out of the ship. The units should be able to stack in the disembarking location. There is also no way to make all the units in the ship disembark at the same time into the same space. There should be an option for this. There is also a beach next to the city in Tarth that looks like a landing zone, but you cannot disembark any troops onto that area.
4-There was a point in the storyline where I was informed my kingdom now knew about Economics and Trade, but there were never any new actions that I could perform corresponding to the new skills. There were no new buildings available, and there was no way to engage in diplomacy with other nations.
5-I built a new settlement near wild horses and built a stables on top of the wild horse area. It said I could now create mounted units, but the unit creation screen does not give you the option to equip your unit with a horse. There were also no new premade units that come equipped with a horse either.
It seems that problems like these should have been found and fixed before the game was released. They may have been fixed in a patch by now though, and so I will try to update the game and then see if they have been fixed.
It would be nice to see more support for dial-up internet users as I am one myself. Luckily I have access to a cellular modem for now so at least I can update the game. If I didn't have access to it, I don't know that I would be able to update the game at all due to online time limits and minimalistic download speeds.
Hopefully these problems have been / will be addressed. Thank you.
EDIT :
Problem 1 has been solved and 3 has been partially solved. I found the solution to 3 by clicking on the ship, clicking on the unit icon, and then right clicking on a destination on land. (Note : Clicking on the little disembark icon still didn't work at several locations) This allowed me to land troops next to Tarth from the Eastern shore and this activated the event. They said they would grant some troops to me but none appeared. The alternate way to land troops I described also worked to disembark my units on the area near the Fire shard behind the Enchanted Gateway so I could fight the boss units there. This completed the campaign and triggered the ending video. I had problems with the video though, as the audio was choppy so I didn't really get to hear the ending. The opening video plays pretty well for me though so I don't know what the difference is, perhaps it is a memory issue.
On a side note, I spent the day playing a sand box scenario, and getting to learn different techs and gain access to new buildings was fun.
