It was many weeks of traveling through the scorching desert in the southern lands past Vegetable Patch. The Green Giant marched through the dusty white sands. The dry wind whistled through the various canyons, as if it sang a song of a time before life. The giant, weary of his travels, ventured to the bottom of the canyon. As he walked through the valley of this canyon, he saw a small stream. He knelt down to drink and was amazed by the taste. The water had an orange tint, and tasted sweet like citrus. The Green Giant followed the stream until it grew bigger and bigger, until it was as big as a river and as rough as a stormy sea. In the distance, the giant spotted a hidden valley, almost half the size of the land of Vegetable Patch. The giant then saw a large city in the center of the land, near a large orange lake. People of rainbow colors, working in the fields, noticed this large giant and ran inside their homes. A bell rang from the tall tower of the city and people ran screaming into the city. All was quite, until the giant saw an army of people riding horses toward the giant. They drew their swords and stopped only a few feet from the giant.
"Who are you, and why have you entered our land?" The one solider said. "I am the Green Giant, native to the magical lands of Vegetable Patch. I am searching for new civilizations in a quest for peace." the mighty giant said. "Is your allegiance with the Duke?" the solider replied. "I have not met a Duke, nor anyone in my travels thus far until now." the giant said. The solider then sheathed his sword and smiled at the giant. "Then you are a welcomed guest in our land. Join us as we feast and celebrate."
They traveled to the large city and spoke to each other about the land and their people. This land is known as the Citrus Grove, and it's people, similar to the veganic people, were called fruitians. The solider then spoke of the Duke, the Duke Almond. The solider then removed his helmet to tell the tale of the duke. "As you see from my crown, I am royalty. I am Prince Pineapple, son of the Red Apple King. In the past, our kingdom and the nation of Nut lived in peace. It was peaceful until the Duke attacked the kingdom. My father, the king, said he asked for a treaty between our lands, but the Duke refused. Since then, we battle the nation of Nut nearly everyday." The prince then dismounted his horse and tied the Raine to the post. "Will you help us, let us end this battle with vicious people of Nut." The Green Giant, reluctant to enter into battle again, said "I will lend my help, but let me meet with the King." The prince agreed and the two walked to the throne room of the palace. The Red Apple King saw the giant approach and called for the guards. "This man is not allowed in our kingdom, he is a spy, a spy for the Duke Almond." The prince approached his father and quietly talked to the King. "He is not a spy but an ally to our kingdom. He is the Green Giant of the far land of Vegetable Patch. The king sneered as he looked at the giant. "No, he is not welcomed, he is a spy. You have been fooled. Death to the spy." The king shouted. "Please father...he is.." the King interrupted the prince and spoke in a stern voice. "You shall address me as King, If you trust this giant, then it rests on your head. If he is indeed a spy, He will be executed and you shall share his fate." The prince thanked the king and the two left the kingdom.
"Prince Pineapple," The giant said, "You risked your life on my behalf, I shall be your ally and we shall..." The prince interrupted and said. "He is rotten...My father was sweet, but he changed so much. He dost not recognise me as kin. I only want this war to stop so I may tend to my father." Then the bell in the tower rang. A solider then called out from the tower "The Army of Nut is approaching, it is led by the Duke." The prince sprang to action and called for his horse. "Men, we end this battle today!" The Green Giant then used his magic to grow as tall as the city. The army surrounded the city but stopped as they looked at the towering giant. The Duke screamed out at the top of his voice "Attack!" The Giant clapped his hands and the Nut army fell to their knees. Then, he picked up the Duke in his hand and talked to him. The duke struggling in his hand, then rested and began to speak. "You are not of this land. Why have you sided with the evil fruitian King?" the king asked. "The battle must end, you and your people will leave the innocent people of this land alone." the giant said. The Duke laughed as he responded "Innocent? Innocent! The King has imprisoned my people. During our time of peace, the Red Apple King captured them and forced them to work in the mines. We are innocent, your fruitian people are the criminals." The giant then slowly lowered the Duke near the Prince and the prince sheathed his sword. "Is this true, it can't be. Come, I will see this with my own eyes." The Duke yelled to the army. "We will not battle today, do not lift a sword or arrow until I give the word." The prince, duke, and the giant then traveled to the mine. They dismissed the guards and walked into the deep darkness. Then, the Duke cried out as they see the people mining. "My fellow people of Nut, we have come to set you free." The people looked up and cried for joy, they were the people of the Nut Nation. The prince fell to his knees and cried. "What has my father done. He brought nothing but war to this land." Word spread through the land of the release of the nut people. The three then ventured to the kingdom, to speak with the rotten king.
"Father, you have imprisoned the nut people and forced this war on us. Why?" the prince asked. The King then stood up and pointed his finger at the prince. "Traitor, you are working with the Duke, you will be dealt with. Guards, Kill these burdens to the King." The Green Giant then casted a spell and restrained the King. "I sense a familiar evil in this man." The giant then placed his hand on the king and cleansed his body of wickedness. The King cried and spoke to the guards "Stop, they are not a burden, rather I am." The king was then released by the giants magic and fell to the feet of the prince. "Son, I have done much evil. I am not fit to rule this land." He then looked to the Duke and cried. "My dearest friend, Almond, I shall die by your sword, I have caused nothing but war on your humble people." The king then bowed and waited for the Duke to strike. The Duke then fell to the ground and placed his hands on the kings shoulders. "I have not the heart to strike you down, you were not yourself. I know that the real king is sweet and kind." The giant then asked the King of what has happened that led to the imprisoning of the people of Nut. The king explained that a traveler of the Mystic Art came to this land many years ago. The king refused to go to war with the people of Nut, thus the Mystic cursed him to be wicked and evil beyond his own accord. He described the man and said he was a mo-hawked thug named Tea that placed a spell on him. The Green Giant grew angry and said. "This man named Tea is dead, but he has left a trail of evil in his wake. I only recently found a way to extract the evil. If only I had this power sooner, I could of saved the Good King Dairy from this curse."
The Giant said farewell to the fruitians and ventured south, past the land of Nut through an old growth forest. The giant, that was set in finding new civilizations, now added a new mission. To cleanse the land of the dark magic used by the Mystic Tea. Thus concludes this Tale.
