"At this stage, the technical issues that were present at launch should be fully addressed."
HAhaha!
Oh, Stardock, I had such high hopes for this game. I've been looking forward to it for months. And now -- for the first time ever -- I'm going to go and request a refund for a game.
I'm still getting the graphics artifacts all over the map (wherever there's any kind of terrain feature) that render the game completely unplayable. I waited a two weeks after purchase to see if it would get fixed; it hasn't. I cannot justify spending $50 on a game that JUST DOESN'T WORK. You released this one at LEAST a few months too early, guys; the days when it was okay to use users that paid actual money for your game as beta testers are long gone. The way this release was handled was totally unprofessional, and leaves me with a very bad taste in my mouth.
I do appreciate the fact that you've stayed in constant communication with your users, and have answered posts on the forums promptly. But the game still just *doesn't work*, and that's a real shame.
And the next time a game like Elemental comes out, my first thought won't be "Oh, wow! Someone is finally doing a MoM for the modern era! Must have!" It'll be "Oh, damn. It's from Stardock. I wish it was from a company I could trust." And that's an even bigger one.
