I'm gonna buy a new monitor so I've been researching monitors for the past three weeks. I've read alot at various sites like DigitalVersus, FlatPanelsHD, and my local SweClockers forum. In the end I've come up with 3 finalists and I need to choose between them....the main problem is that I don't know how much I'll experience ghosting so I hoped that if any of you got these screens that you can tell me how they "feel".

This post is also meant as a guide for gamers in the market for a new monitor as the three finalists are the best up to 4000 SEK (400 euros.)

I think I'm gonna go for the Acer GD245HQ but I'm not sure....The Iiyama Prolite B2712HDS 27" is tempting due it will cost me 3800 SEK (380 euros.)

It stands between:

• Dell U2311H                     23", 1920x1080, IPS and 0.7/0.4 colored and transparent ghosting
• Acer GD245HQ                  23.6", 1920x1080, TN and 015/015 colored and transparent ghosting
• Iiyama Prolite B2712HDS   27", 1920x1080, TN and 0.3/0.45 colored and transparent ghosting

The Dell has:

Great (4 stars) handling (VGA, DVI, DisplayPort, heightadjustable stand and 4 USB ports.)

Great (4 stars) colors and an IPS panel!

Great responsetime (4 stars) but is a little slow for FPS due to its ghosting issues. 0.7/0.4 Colored & Transparent

It costs 2500 SEK (250 euro.)

The Acer has:

Bad (2 stars) handling (VGA, DVI and HDMI.)

Average (3 stars) colors. Best of the 120Hz screens but with a TN panel....

Superb (5 stars) responsetime! With ghosting of 0.15/0.15 Colored & Transparent the Acer GD245HQ is the fastest monitor in the WORLD!  It's also a 120Hz monitor which allows 3D gaming with Nvidia 3D glasses (on 60Hz so not going to use that for FPS or RTS.)

It costs 3500 SEK (350 euro.)

The Iiyama has:

Great (4 stars) handling (VGA, DVI and HDMI.) Also got a heightadjustable stand and a headphone jack.

Superb (5 stars) colors! It got average contrast (830:1) though and you need to turn down the luminance.

Great (4 stars) responsetime. Ghosting of 0.3/0.45 but you need to turn Overdrive from 0 to 3 (max of 5).

It costs 3800 SEK (380 euro.)
