After being able to download and install Elemental without any bigger problems, Impulse refuses to properly download any updates to the game.

Soon after starting the update process, it slows to a crawl, runs into "Retrying..." several times, then eventually terminating with an "unknown error"; usually right before it would have finished. Trying to resume the update process doesn't achieve anything except getting it stuck at the percentage it managed to reach before hitting the "unknown error".

I assume this is related to my problem of Impulse refusing to update the client itself or any of my other installed games, which I discussed at length with Stardock's tech support over the last two months without finding a viable solution (tech support actually gave up on it).

Thus, I demand some sort of stand-alone patch to update my installation of Elemental without having to sit through the 14 odd hours it would take to re-install the game everytime a new incremental update is released.
