Bug: game no longer continues when I click 'end turn'

I have been playing a game for a long time now, and am in the 'end game' part. The problem is that suddenly I can no longer go to the next turn. If I click the 'end turn' buttons, simply nothing happens.

My current game is the second game I have has this same problem, im 369 turns in and I can mouse over things, select them etc.. but if i click end turn nothing happens anymore.  VERY frustrating.

I've had that happen, it's usually caused by a unit that's hung up somewhere.

I found that zooming far out (to the cloth map) seems to get things going again. Battles resolve and you can continue.

Whenever I had this problem it went away when if I restarted the game.

Seems similar to the problem, myself and others have seen with ships on auto-explore, possibly with other units on auto-explore as well.

I have sent a saved game at turn 371 to Scott and Jesse at SD to check out but it had the same reported problem.  I did have ships on auto-explore, I'll try turning that off tonight and see it the game can progress, if so then this is a minor bug with workaround but still annoying as the auto-explore is a very neato kind of feature in my book.  If not, then this is a game-ender bug - do not pas go do not collect $200 - GAME OVER kind of bug.

Here's to looking forward to a fix...

I had some boats on auto-explore, and this turned out to be the cause in my case.

This bug and its cause was reported back in middle beta.  I'm surprised it persists in release.
