There wasn't any zip file created, but I managed to fix the problem by playing in windowed mode.... I didn't tried that before because from what I was reading in the forums, that was only meant to fix a problem with ATI Cards, but since I was desperated I tried that.
Been playing for the last week without a singe crash!
