Yeah the animations ar ereally really small and except for the annoying as sin screen shakes most have almost no effects. many have pointed this out they are really subdued.

No i know what hes talking about. This happends to me if I alt-tab outta the game, and then back. The tactical battles show no spell effects untill i restart the game.

I'm using an nvidia 275 GTX, latest drivers.

sometimes i get a broken one (coming from a random place off screen, or flickering, or something)

Particle effect issues that pop-up after an alt-tab should be fixed after the next patch. If you're never getting particles and you haven't alt-tabbed out of the game, please provide us with your debug.err (see this thread for details on where to find it and how to post it: https://forums.elementalgame.com/391297). With your help I'll do my best to get it fixed as soon as possible!

Looking at your debug.err, I believe the problem may be caused by the same thing that would break the particle effects after an alt-tab. If so, it may work after the upcoming patch. In the meantime, have you tried running the game in a window?

So wait in order to get my spell animations i can not Alt+Tab or is this a bug that will be fixed with the next patch?

Currently, if you alt-tab out of the game while running in full-screen mode, it will cause the particle effects to stop working. This is fixed in the next patch. I believe the problem that some people are getting where particle effects never show up is caused by the same thing, and should also be working in the next patch. For the moment, running in a window may act as a work-around for these issues.

Alt-tab crashes are a separate issue, unfortunately. To get your game to launch in a window, you'll first need to start up the game, and click on the "Options" button on the Main Menu. On the Options screen, click on the "Video" tab, and then click on the "Use Fullscreen" checkbox so that it no longer has a checkmark in it. Then click on the main menu; a message should pop up saying that you'll need to restart the game. When you close the game and launch it again, it should be running in a window.
