Game stays on loading screen when starting new game

Its like semi freezing, the loading screen moves to show the panorama but nothing ever happens

I don't know if it was because of the 1.5 patch but now every time I try to start a new game (not campaign) it semi"freezes" on the loading screen of the big panorama with dragons and mount doom.

It has happened 2 times now.

Please open your debug.err file in notepad, and link the contents into a post here via pastebin. This will give us some technical information that can help troubleshoot your problem.

The file can be found in My Documents\My Games\Elemental

Be sure to copy the debug immediately after the error occurs; if you start the game again, the debug log will be erased and recreated for the new session.

Same problem here, every aspect of the game was working fine until the day 0 update, now it hangs on the loading screen whenever i try to start a new game, campaign or load a saved game from the previous version. It has never let me play since the update (I have waited for more than 20 mins ) but other than that...everything works splendidly >.>' (faction/sovereign/world creation etc.)

Go into the directory where you installed "Elemental: War of Magic" if you see a sub-directory(folder) in there with the name "Elemental War of Magic" then you have incorrectly applied a non-official patch(to put it politely...). That will cause this issue.
