SOLVED]Elemental Startproblems

Problem Solved itself. -.-;

I dont know why, but after starting the Activation Tool directly from the Directory the game launched.

Had to terminate the Activation.exe via Taskmanager, then started it directly from the directory. Worked even without asking for the key.

Maybe the Activation.exe causes the problems, but not sure about that.

So the only problem seems like now the updating...

System: WIN7 PRO 64bit, Icore7 860, GeForce 470GTX, 8 GB RAM

There have been several messages like that - looks like Win7 64bit might have a problem.

Are you sure you've got the very latest driver for your video card?

I dont think it's a Win7 64 problem. As I, and alot of other people here have Win 7/64 with no problems. Only thing I can think of is are you sure you're logging into Impulse with the correct account/password? Sounds like Impulse doesn't think you have the game, when apparently you do. You shouldn't have to do any activation since the game is tied to your Impulse account.

i doubt it that the VideoCard Driver has something to do with the UpdatingFunction of Impulse, but since i had the ones from the 07.06.10 you are right about updating them, which i should do anyway.

One thing i forgot to mention is that i use GDATA Internet Security 2011 as Protection, but even with disabled guard no changes to the update problem.

im using the right account since all the other games are there that i bought, dunno why it wanted me to activate the game.

Update 25.04.10:

After reinstalling Elemental, the update worked, but now i have the Activation problem again.

When selecting Run for Elemental the Activate.exe runs in the background and the game doesnt start... and nothing happens...

Workaround from above doesnt work this time... dunno... running out of ideas...

Im still thinking it has something to do with the 64bit system, but as with PC´s generally the problem differs from systemconfig to systemconfig.

Maybe im trying tomorrow after work the other PC with the Vista 32bit system... if this works it seems there could be a problem with some 64bit configurations.

Problem solved... the GDATA Firewall doesnt like Impulse, even if you allow it.
