I hope there are plans to add subtitles for spoken dialogue at some point. I am deaf and it is extremely frustrating when I purchase a game and am unable to enjoy it due to lack of subtitles for spoken dialogue (both in cutscenes and the game itself). I have been looking forward to Elemental for a long while but unfortunately I feel as if I have wasted 80 dollars (I ordered the boxed special edition). I know Stardock is very good about supporting their games after release so I figured I would make this post to make it known that this is a serious problem for some people (granted a relatively small amount iI'm sure). If it is not feasible technically or some such that would be great to know too. Anyways I look forward to hopefully enjoying the game sometime in the future.
bah, they are not in there? (I didnt get to the game yet) Subtitles helps us non-native speakers a lot as well. Actually, they usually make the difference...
Yes, they would be useful for me too, it's much easier for me to understand written than spoken English.
I did not even think of non native english speakers, that is another very good reason for them to hopefully add them in the future. Also I found it is possible to play single player non campaign games which is pretty fun and subtitles are not needed there.
There may be some in the campaign (haven't tried it yet) but in the normal game the only thing I can think of is unit selection dialog. You aren't really missing much there.
