Just starting. Built a city right next to fertile land and can't build anything on it. Any tips? I tried some research for harvesting and it allowed irrigation, but still couldn't build the base farm?
On the map, try selecting the fertile land itself. The build commands are on the improvement tiles rather then in the city. That's been confusing a lot of people.
