When any character gets a new weapon or piece of armor such as an axe or traveller's boots, I want to get rid of their old equipment. However, if the gear was on them when they were created/hired, it can't be sold. Why not?

I have the same question/problem. Characters cannot sell or trade to other characters their existing equipment. And it does not show up on the item list in the interface.

It is intended that starter gear cannot be sold.
cant you change it?
its just wrong as it is now
you just get a lot of junk useless
or at least provide the starting equip with unique features so you wont change that soon
Is there a way to drop the inventory then? So we dont have a shirt in our inventory that we cannot sell...

or at the very least cause them to *not* show up on the item screen since the starting gear is never anything special and is replaced by better gear often quite quickly
