I built up my first city with a few buildings while exploring with my sovereign and his 2 sentinels. After several minor tactical battles, I created a new city next to a gold deposit and some mountains and forest (also not far from a lost library and some unexplored inns along the coast). I had researched about 4-5 techs and 1-2 spells at this point.
