Soon after loading a save-game, moved into Polapel, killed the king ok, then moved onto the city itself. Won but then went to 100% cpu and had to control-alt-del out. This was all zoomed-in with the garbled screen like many have reported.
Re-loaded and tried to repeat will zoomed out to cloth map. It took out the king and city in one battle, no problem (the king was next to the city, not in it).
