When I reloaded the last autosave save game it crashed when I got to about the same point.  No dump file this time either.  Not a bsod, just Windows saying it had encountered problems.

Event viewer said (the 2nd time)   "Faulting application elemental.exe, version 0.8.0.5, faulting module msvcr80.dll, version 8.0.50727.4053, fault address 0x00008aa0"

(nothing like that when I got the BSOD)

Try uninstalling, totally cleaning off the driver, rebooting, then reinstalling your driver.

I had this problem in Demigod with my nVidia card, but the problem was a driver issue. I change driver versions and had no problems.

Also, is your card overclocked? Perhaps it's clocked too high. I've had the problem too. My card is factory OC'd, but when I tried to push it even further, I'd get blue screens once in a while in games.
