I just pre ordered, but as far as i know it is closed until beta 3, then they let more in. Beta 3 is slated to release this week I think so yah

What do we have to do to activate our pre-order beta?

I entered my pre-order key/serial code into my Impulse client 2 days ago and it registered with my account, do I need to do anything else to make sure I'm included in the Beta 3 invite wave?

Make sure that you checked "show pre-release/beta versions" in impulse settings, then go to "My Games" tab to check if Elemental is listed.

I pre-ordered and never got any beta keys (i got the confirmation of the order but no key). I thought the keys were being sent out upon the start of the next beta?

Me too in list My games i dont have Elemental in list.

I sign in option also show pre released but nothing.

As i understand it those who have preordered the game but who like me did not first log into their impulse account will get an email with a key and dl link then we can associate the game with our impulse account during install..

(Stardock folks, please jump in if I have this wrong btw as if beta 3 does launch today we are rapidly running out of support time for this week to solve our issues (as i understand it the stardock offices will be closed fri - mon for 4th holiday (and you do deserve it) )

All preorders made after midday June 18 are queued for Beta 3. You will not be charged and will not gain beta access or a serial key until Beta 3 is launched, at which point it will appear in Impulse if you have prerelease versions enabled. Do not confuse an order confirmation number for a serial key, they are not the same and the order number will not work as a key.

Hey Kyro, i did preoder june20th and have my order conformation... however I ordered right from the elemental web site.. because i had not logged into impulse to order i contact [email protected] (ticket id Ticket ID: DHH-853861 fyi).. at first the support staff could not find my order I then sent my order number.. the next emaili got was:

Hello,

Thank you for providing the order number. I was able to track down the order. Since you ordered after the beta closed (please see https://www.elementalgame.com/purchase.aspx), you will have to wait until the beta re-opens. When the beta re-opens your card will be charged and you will be sent a serial number to access the beta.

so i assume that once beta 3 opens I will get email with a serial number and dl link is this correct? oe should i cancel the original preoder and login to impulse and preorder it that way to insure all goes as planed ?

You'll get another email giving you all the info you need. After you get that email, completely close Impulse and reopen it. If that doesn't work (I.E. Elemental does not appear in your list) reboot your system and than launch impulse. Make sure to check the "Show beta and demos" or whatever it's called in Impulse as well.

pretty much what i expectged and I pm'ed kyro (because as I submitted my last post forum went boom heh heh) and this is what he had to say...

Preordering on the elemental website is the same thing as doing it through Impulse. Just be patient for Beta 3 to begin

Hehe. I didn't want to say anything about not finding the beta link. So, I began to read the forums. Thanks for the help with this. I am real new to using Impulse.
