[0.802][Crash?]Out of Memory

Turn 330+, not a loaded game (started and played it unitl the out of memory "event"), two AIs dead very early in the game (as usual ¬.¬ those moneters of the map are too much) and the remaining AI in the run from my Sov & co.

Yeah I run out of memory as well, which is weird I have 4 gb on a 64 bit version... it also occurs late in the game kind of a bummer.

The problem I'm encountering is the game suddenly crashing ( no error windows just crashes)

so, my dear 4GB 64bit vista (according to dxdiag) shares 1,7GB! which means I have only 2,3GB RAM, which is (together with Vista) just not enough.

I'm not 100% sure if this is correct, because I'm no PC guru. But what else could it be?

since dxdiag says my video card has 500MB dedicated RAM, I *think* if I could decrease the amount of shared RAM to zero - my computer would be fine.

of course, I have no idea how to do this.

I too am having this problem. About 180 turns in, the next turn button simply greys out and the game stops taking commands. Then it crashes. XP/3gb

I had a different problem ( the game would suddenly crash with no errors), setting it to window mode fixed it.

I now have the out of memory crash ( I also run it on 4GB RAM 64bit vista)
