I would guess since the beta isn't "closed" and no non-disclosure agreements are signed this is, in fact, to be encouraged!

Actually, you'll be waiting like the rest of us, trying to think about something else and not succeding, nothing else presenting interest... not just games (or maybe it was just me). I just woke up at 7 AM, being on holiday, just to see if the beta was on. This is a little bit sad/pathetic... too bad i can't help it. I want my beta fix, please.
