omg i thought it was out when i saw this

i'm yet to receive my beta details in my email, or get charged for the game, so might have to wait till the afternoon if it's getting released today (US afternoon that is ...grrr...)

(i wish you guys were working from australia right now, just so i didn't have to wait till later at night to get it, then have no time to play it between downloading, sleeping and work )

Stardock typically releases their builds on Thursdays, as Bill_Door says.  It is implied that Beta2 will be released on this coming thursday, but I don't think we have the promise in writing (which makes sense ).

Brad has to release it right now, since I had thought it was out when I saw the title. Now that I'm utterly crushed, the only way to get me out of my despair is to release Beta 2!

Bring it on! I had to resort to yet another game of HOMM3 tonight to slake my thirst for turn-based goodness. Not that I haven't been enjoying Elemental 1Z! It's already starting to develop that addictive quality which is the hallmark of a fine TBS. 

I tried to pre-order via paypal and it said that was not allowed for pre orders . Guess I can't be in beta 2 ?//?

I preordered yesterday. Do you guys think i `m gonna get in beta 2, or am i already too late ?

is this beta a closed beta or are you only surposed to have impulse
because i have impulse and that would be handy

it is closed.  Open to those who preorder (though they have stated open later on at some time).  It is through impulse, however.

The full procedure :

1°) preorder the game
2°) when a new beta phase starts and you have preordered (beta 2 is supposed to start tomorrow), you receive an email with a serial.

If you preorder just after the start of a new beta Phase, you might still get in (I think that for beta 1 the time windows was one week after the new beta), else you will have to wait for Beta 3 later this summer.

3°) install Impulse, and register the game using this serial
(note: if you preordered using your impulse account, the serial might not be needed, but you still have to wait for a new beta phase to start)

4°) run impulse, with the setting "show beta/unreleased games" checked in order to have Elemental displayed in the "My Games" tab.

5°) Install the beta and enjoy the torture*.

* it has been said that Beta 2 could maybe come with some fun included, breaking a long tradition of tedious beta-testing.

x3 I pre-ordered this game 5min after I found it on IGN and looked at the content!
