[NEVERMIND - NOT BUG] Can't build farm in second city.

I'm not entirely sure why I couldn't build the farm - this may be intentional - but in the below city I couldn't build on the farm space:

 

Can't build on the farm space to the right.

This was a second city - the spot from another soveriegn, whose city disappeared after I killed him.  I could build other non-palace things but not the farm.

I think the city needs to level up or something in order to unlock more building plots. Check out the available buildign plots number under stats, you will need 4 to build a farm (or so I think ).

It looks like there should be enough plots for the farm there (2 map tiles/8 miniplots in addition to the base city and only 2 miniplots used by the looks of it).  I'd be willing to call it a bug unless, as you said, they meant for you to only have one farm (which is odd imho).

I think Hyrim is correct.  In the game I was just playing before it crashed, I was able to build 4 towns with farms.

In the corner, I think it reads "Tiles Available: 0." That should explain the inability to build a farm?

Yeah, you guys are right; the size of the town controls how many tiles (each tile being a square of 4 plots) the town can build in and this one was maxed out.

Also to add, not only does it need a new square but from my experience of saving a slot till agriculture was researched it still was not enough, it needs to be a hamlet.

I did the exact same thing, and made a bug report inspired by the same problem. whoops, we're a little over-eager.

I had filled 2 plots (with about 6 miniplots) previously before canceling builds.  Apparently canceling things doesn't free up plots.  Now that does sound like a bug ...
