Hehe Enjoy it while it lasts That'll be an easy bug to squash for the next build.

Its something that we put into Political Machine, so I dont see why we can't do the same for GC
Lockup when Attack Ships: We'll look into this. Ship combat is still VERY early at this point, so I wouldn't be suprised if other problems arise from it luckilly its one of the next game mechanics on our list to tackle, so hopefully it's a problem that's fixed soon Research Screen N
AZ: Can you try switching to the hardware mouse and see if that fixes the issue? (you can set this in the C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming.net\GalCiv2\GCConfig\GCConfig.exe application)
hey uglycow, I can't seem to find your email...could you re-send the zip file to [email protected] ? More likely, if youre having the problem someone else will have it too, so it we'll do our best to fix it. Thanks!
Oh poo.... Anyways, if you have TotalGaming.Net and 2 tokens to spare, BreakQuest is an AMAZING game - a Super polished, very addicting, unique and original take on the classic Breakout formula. I've been hooked ever since they sent the full version our way Two Thumbs WAY Up!
Wow...You don't realize how busy you are 'till a milestone is reached - when you stop running, look around, and say "Where am I and how the hell did I get here?!" In the last month I've... - Prepared Web Content for the new phase of TotalGaming.Net - Attended my first E3 - T
I wonder if this movie is big enough to constitue 2 seperate showings...the cut version for families, then the uncut version for the less squeemish (or those over 13). Even if it was just for the first few weeks...most fans will end up seeing it more than once anyways, so they'll get treated to a movie they can enjoy with the tots, then one they can enjoy with their thirst for blood <BR
Perhaps an Option as to how long the icons stick around for, as well as some options for turning off certain news events?
Yeah eventually a Ship/Fleet Classification Icon will be applied to those ships, based on their abilities and their overall strength. Definatly on our list
You still have to make a choice in GC2 wether or not a planet will have the ability to build ships, since the starport is a physical Planet Improvement that have to be built. This way you CAN have your outtermost planets focus on making ships, then use that extra planet tile on protected planets for research, banking, or something more passive. We actually had StarPorts as orbital stations in the early Alpha's of GC2. The StarPort was a physical unit that sat on a tile right outside y
Thanks guys As the snowball gets rolling (more people to the board and deadlines get closer) we may be less responsive, but we'll try out best. As for developers on the message board, the run down is... Frogboy (Brad): Project Manager, AI Coding CariElf (Cari): Game Code Lead Mudflap (Joe): Foundation Code Lead Mormegil (Paul): Art, UI Design Boogiebac (Scott aka Myself): Ar
Yes, agree 100%. This may may not get fixed for the next few betas (features currently take top priority) but we'll make sure a smarter UI navigation is implemented
I definatly agree that the RP's should rollover, even if this isn't realistic. Like Uruguru said, we can't encourage micromanagement by rewarding players who know how to fiddle with the knobs.
Hehe Thanks for the review, Kahona. Even being a developer for the game, I would only give it a 4/10 if it was released today But thats why it's a beta, so we can keep improving it until everyone rates it a 8.5 / 10 (or, hopefully, better) And if there's anything you don't like about the ga
Hmmm...It looks like you're having some sort of streching/placement problem with the screen objects. You can see that side bar is shifted a few pixels to the left, as is the little window that's supposed to hold the date. Thanks for the post...we'll get back to you as the problem gets sorted out
I've been able to reproduce this...I'll add it to our list
hehe Good catch I have deleted my superfluous post so no more teasing can take place.
Are you talking about the In-Game date (aka "22 Jan 2890") in the upper right corner? I'm not getting a bug on my machine...do you have the resolution set to something other than 1024x768?
Yeah, that needs to be fixed Good catch!
We're always open to incorporating fresh ideas into GC2 that will make the game more fun, but there's a temptation to make these types of games more 'realistic', which doesn’t always equal 'enjoyable'. We've reached a point in gaming where we can give the user access to all kinds of tweakable civ information...our job is to streamline the experience so that casual gamers can enjoy the game at one level, but hardcore gamers can enjoy a bit more depth...but neither way feels light
That's not good We'll try and get that funcionality bulletproof for the next beta.
I've had this happen as well. We'll get it fixed for the next beta.
We'll look into both these problems...Having the Starport come up instead of the Planet Screen should be easy, the icons not popping up correctly would be a bit more work.
Help's a-coming I don't know about everyone else, but this has been the first warm weekend after winter, so It was a "Computer-Free" Saturday and Sunday for myself Anyways, I actually get this problem on the top of the screen, which is weird since I don't have an extended desktop to the top, so pe
