Followup to my last post: When I attempted to reinstall WB 8.06 using ODM, the installation complained about a decompression error with the TGA files in a blind called "Precision". I aborted the installation and deleted what I believed to be a bad blind, then tried to reinstall. Again the installation complained about the "Precision" blind. Clearly this blind must be packaged with WB 8.06, so I just skipped over the problem files, but it then stumbled over another packaged blind called "Win8"

Because WB 8.09 reported 8.06 even though ODM reported 8.09 (see my previous post), I took the opportunity to uninstall WB and clean the registry. After a reboot, I ran ODM and discovered that WB 8.09 was no longer available! Now I have to reinstall WB 8.06 because Stardock apparently pulled WB 8.09 without any notification. What a waste of my time... [e digicons]>:([/e]

Updated mine and it still says 8.06 I had the same problem when I attempted to upgrade to 8.06: WB kept reporting 8.05 while ODM reported 8.06. I had to uninstall WB, then clean the registry. Installing WB 8.06 then reported correctly. I have the same problem after upgrading to 8.09: WB reports 8.06 while ODM reports 8.09. Obviously something is being missed in the registry when upgrading.

I pay US$41 to AT&T for 3.0Mb/s download and 0.5Mb/s upload DSL. I live in Muskogee County Oklahoma outside of the city limits so I don't have access to cable, but I manage to get by just fine. I have no sympathy for those who whine that 50Mb/s is too slow!

I use an external 1TB hard disk and Casper disk clone software. Casper creates a bootable, incremental clone of your hard drive. Every evening I hook up the external hard drive to the SATA-3 USB port on my laptop. Casper automatically starts up and updates the clone. This typically takes only 10 minutes, but will take longer if I have installed a big package or the defragger has decided that my internal drive needs attention. Cost: US$130 for the 1TB external hard drive, Casper 8.0 US

When the hardware requirements for Skyrim were announced in the summer of 2011, I realized that my current laptop would not handle it. I need to be mobile, so a desktop system was out of the question. I finally settled on the MSi GT780DXR which comes with an i7-2630QM CPU, 16GB RAM, 2@750GB HDD (raid0) and an NVIDIA GTX570M GPU with 1.5GB GDDR5. Cost: US$1900 Today's graphics oriented games not only require a high performance GPU, but also a CPU, RAM and HDD that can keep the GPU

I replaced the pair of 750GB (raid0) in my MSi GT6780DXR gaming laptop with a pair of Seagate 1TB (raid1) solid state hybrid hard drives. 1TB HDD 8GB SSD 64MB RAM SSHD provides high capacity with high speed for files that are frequently accessed. Since this laptop comes with 16GB of RAM, I locked system files and drivers in memory and turned off paging.

I don't understand your rant. I have checked and I only have one uninstaller which presumably would uninstall exactly what was installed. Since I haven't tried to uninstall VS2012, I can't verify that there is a problem that no one else apparently has had or there would have been plenty of flak on the Microsoft forums. I fail to see how your mistake installing VS2012 on the "wrong" drive should be blamed upon Microsoft.

Your credibility really suffers when you don't know the difference between "no" and "know" or "to" and "too". I won't even discuss your use of punctuation, capitalization or sentence structure.
