Will existing licenses be extended or is this only for new purchases?
As I stated in my initial post I had uninstalled all SD skin products including Start10. Instead I installed the open source "Classic Start Menu" which I consider far superior to Start10 in functionality and flexibility. Anyway this was causing a skinning conflict so I have uninstalled the WB beta.
I have a PNG screenshot of the taskbar and systray, but there doesn't seem to be anyway to paste it into this reply.
I got fed up with SD because of the VS2017 crash issue and uninstalled all SD skin products. This beta fixes the VS2017 crash, but there are still a couple of skin issues. 1: The start and the hidden systray buttons are being properly skinned, but most of the task bar and system tray are not being skinned, just basic black. I installed Visual Studio 2017 Community Edition (VS17C), but it would crash on startup. This looked like a failure when VS17C tried to first open its IDE window. I discovered that when I unloaded WB that VS17C would startup just fine. Curiously, if I then restarted WB, VS17C had no further issue until the next computer boot. Chrome is showing an alert icon in the address bar: "This page is trying to load scripts from unauthenticated sources." Now that I look around, I see this alert on other WC pages! What's this all about? Could this alert be triggered by the ads you now show?
I received a renewal email for Object Desktop from Stardock Software. One incentive in the email says that free access to all skins on WinCustomize is included in the Object Desktop renewal. I have been a member of WC for 13 years and have appreciated the work of SD and the various skin contributors. However, all too many of the various WB, IP and Dream contributions that I have downloaded have only contributed to disc bloat: not from a lack of quality, but they were simply not my style. I saw this post, but wondered why I hadn't received the magazine. I took a look at the junk mail folder in Outlook and found it buried in the usually daily quantity of real junk. I have since added the domain name to the safe list, but there is something in the email that Outlook doesn't like. I wonder how many others have had this delivered into the garbage can?

I just completed the Windows 10 Anniversary Update with an unknown (10.0.x) version of WindowBlinds installed. WindowBlinds works without any problems.

I keep falling for this, but I don't seem to learn. The post on the WinCustomize main page shows the date "Tuesday, 1:00 PM by Island Dog". When I go to the post I then remember that it is Tuesday, March 15th, almost 3 months ago! Do you suppose that your web page designers could add the date instead of just "Tuesday"?

It is coming up on 5 months since Windows 10 was released and WindowBlinds stopped working on my three PCs. There is no excuse for this as numerous other applications were ready for Windows 10. Since the Windows 10 release I have found that I do not miss WindowBlinds. The only WindowBlind I consistently used was "Vintage Tiffany", yet I would keep downloading blinds only to discover that I was unhappy with some aspect. I just spotted WindowBlinds 8.1.3 on MajorGeeks, but showing Windows 10/8/7 compatibility! You may wish to correct the MajorGeeks entry concerning Windows 10 compatibility.
I noticed that "Mod Organizer" that I start frequently migrates off the bottom of the list while infrequently used programs end up at the top?

Microsoft gave software developers every opportunity to test and update their products in anticipation of the Windows 10 release. Apparently, Stardock decided to take a different approach and let their products cause considerable aggravation. Several products would not even work on my brand new Windows 8.1 PC. The MSi GT70 Dominator is a high performance gaming laptop. Whether the HDD spins down or not is not obvious. Perhaps when I an running on the battery, there may be a delay as the drive spins up, but I am willing to tolerate that. The real issue is having to do things like hack the registry in order to point WindowBlinds to a folder on the HDD instead of the SSD. A simple modification to the Stardock desktop apps to add a setting that points the data files to something other than the default
One of my first concerns with the new laptop was the Microsoft OneDrive folder. I have a large number of music and photos files in the OneDrive cloud, so the last thing I wanted was to waste precious SSD space. Guess what? One of the available settings in OneDrive is to locate the folder ANYWHERE I WANT! I see no performance issues at all with the WindowBlinds app on the SSD and the themes on the HDD. I should probably clean house, but that is really not the relevant issue here.
I currently have 1136 WB using 11.3GB of storage that I have collected over the years as a Stardock and WinCustomize subscriber. My MSi GTX780DXR laptop died, so I purchased an MSi GT70 Dominator which comes with a 250GB SSD and a 1TB HDD. As I began to install the Stardock Applications, I quickly realized that data files such as the Windowblind and CursorFX themes would be installed on the SSD. @fooshniken: You are deliberately ignoring the fundamental difference between a physical item such as a book or a second hand sale and the ripping off of movies or music. In the first case there is one and only one entity being passed around. In the second is the illegal uploading of copyrighted material to some "pirate" site where it is then cloned. You are just like so many others who gloss over the issue! When you loan or give your mother a good book to read, it is no longer in your possession. When you download a copy of a movie or music, you are cheating, nay stealing, from the copyright holder who was only paid for the original that hundreds or thousands are now using!
I see that the developers still haven't fixed the version number problem! WB still reports version 8.09 after installing 8.1, but the Object Desktop Manager and IOBit's Uninstaller report the correct version. The only way to apparently fix this is to uninstall WB and run a registry cleaner (I use IOBit's Uninstaller which does both), then reinstall. I am puzzled that this trivial issue hasn't yet been fixed!
