[quote who="Mtn_Man" reply="47" id="2868912"]... Completely unplayable? The 'unplayable' thing is, crashes aside, definitely an eye of the beholder situation. Re so-called bad words, "Guns don't kill people, people kill people." Vocabulary choice is a matter of fitting personal style to a given context. I try not to throw in words that might scare parents or offend religious conservatives--unless it seems like the thread, or especially the OP, is not picky about such things. Sometimes my emotions get the better of me and I end up calling a pile of excrement by a much shorter word. Re censorship, I'm a minority (gay) and I regularly see folk

The name of the spell book is a horrible immersion breaker, at least for me; it just doesn't work with the MoM-successor, Tolkien appreciator, Song of Ice and Fire fan talk. The spells themselves, generally speaking, make sense in the hazy framework of the post-Cataclysm game world we're supposed to be in. The 'balance' stuff I can't say much about because the game's still changing rapidly and I've never cared very much about scores/winning/whatever. I'm still waiting for a TB

One of the reasons I've thought there should be a turns/seasons toggle in Options is that they are just confusing UI clutter without some meaningful connection(s) to gameplay. Combat modifiers would be one interesting way to make the 'calendar' meaningful, but so would linking it to other subsystems like diplomacy (the 'social' season when info flows more freely and deals are generally more likely), dynastic marriages (the wedding season), and, in my dream world, the strategic magic s

New folks interested in the older arguments might enjoy Scott's thread Thoughts on Chancellors, Cities, Snaking and Secession . p.s.
