Have you tried re-installing Works? If the launcher exe got corrupted 'normally,' that should fix the problem. Also, have you checked for any updates to Windows/IE that might have been applied since the last time the launcher worked for you? You might be able to use System Restore to step back out and see if that is what broke the launcher on your rig. Or, as Rudebaz implied, have you considered ditching that Built-to-Sell-Office suite and using something like OpenOffice, or,
Keyboard Maybe I’m just old but I want to be able to navigate more with the keyboard. This is an area we’re starting to put more attention to. Not just in terms of hot keys but just general navigation through the game. Fallen Enchantress is a game that you “might” play 10 hours straight. So less forced mouse moving = better as far as we’re concerned.
Bless y'all.

No small part of the prosperity of the colonies was because they were beginning to apply European re

The game's explanation is modern in its conception and doesn't stand up to historical reflection on assembling a civilization from wasteland. Rebellion is a hothouse flower, kept alive in the warm manure of civilization. Drudgery is universal, and stands up to the cold battery of desolation.
Uvah was wrong to say 'nuff said, but the relationship between U.S. consumer electronics prices and Chinese labor practices such as those at Foxconn is absolutely political. I've long ago abandoned specific arguments about the game mechanics. But, also quite some time ago, I came to believe that magic should be the only research tree in the game and that the other abilities and assets should be gained through developing cities, trading, and recruiting champions. The devs seem to have decided to drop from four to three trees. I'm hoping that for the first true Elemental 2, they might consider simplifying the tree part of the game even further. As-is, the n

The mechanic details might always be a matter of debate and continuous updates, but the fundamental design point deserves an up or down decision. I'll second the love for Earth: Final Conflict (wish we could get the whole thing via Netflix). Space: Above and Beyond is another one that died too soon and is still under-appreciated. Abrams' Trek flick had many good traits, but nothing can make up for its several glaring stupidities done apparently for the sake of visuals. Starships built on the ground, industrial breweries inside starships, a drill that dangles from orbit on an artsy-fartsy chain...ack!
