Thus, it seems to have been in someones mi
The current caravan system has each caravan carrying the same resource back and forth. I thought it was kind of funny to watch a caravan go from a Food Producer, to a non producer city, only to return with the same amount of food, simply going the other way. Someone needs to grease a few more palms would be my guess. LOL
"@ John Hughes ... the reason that the "total" experience is different is because it deals with the relative strengths of the units."
OK got that. I would think it would be better that when 2 indentical groups fight, in this case, twice, the final XP share should always come out to be the same. <span style="font-size: s
And Raise Terrain is a great way to trap those pesky Trolls... :)
I believe you should get Swords and Armor upgrades as you Research Warfare items. Weapons such as Bows & Crossbows, along with Shields have yet to be implemented, unless I missed something as well :) Magic will provide power Rings, but currently have component costs that make them all but inaccessible until we can achieve a LONG game. <span st
"Lets say that the archer company had a battle rank of 50, while the melee Champion had a battle rank of 200. According to our equation, the archer would get 210 x ( 1 + 150/50) or 840 experience. The Champion would get 233 x (1 + 150/200) or 408 experience. However, if the archers only dealt 30% of the damage, and the Champion dealt 70% of the damage and killed all 10, then the Champion would get 953 experience and the Archers would get 360 experience."
Q
It only counts if you KILL the Trolls too. [e digicons]:-"[/e]
Confirmed here as well. The first time it happened to me, it took many many clicks to exit. Since Diplomacy is yet to function anyways, there is no reason to drill in. I simply go to War. ;)

No apology required. Details come in all levels. It was my bad.
I apologize but I am in a mood. From the start. I had been given false information that this whole Beta Process would be "un-positive". I never argued. LOL Well, today 04/10/10, I find the game, of our future, shaping up quite nicely. We are all NUBS, save Boogie

It seems that you require the Research associated with the resource in order to BUILD upon it. Forests already have a Building assigned to them. I have managed to Pioneer build on Bees Nests, Wild Flowers, and assorted Minerals. If a connected Town could build it, then a Pioneer can go outside the Town's sphere of Influence, and consume the resource for use. OF course
I have yet to have a Quest not finish properly. Damsel, Knight or Rats... Once returned to your FIRST starter Town, I have then been moving them to my other towns as they have fighting capabilities, although mostly weak, but when garrisoned in a Town, they can hold their own pretty well. P.S. A possible BUG I have noticed, I
That Magic is to Restore the Land and consumes Essence, which is in limited supply at the start. Otherwise you would be required to find aerable land on which to start your cities. Go here for a Quick Tutorial. http://elementalbeta.wikidot.com/start
"3) Cities need a quick glance card when the mouse hovers over.
0.299 compared to 0.298 is less stable for me..sadly. Random CTD + lock-ups after ending turns. I've reported these problems already. Just a thought...
"With 50 minimum in every resource I still can't train anything other than peasants, I have no shortages showing for materials."
To build something other than a Peasant, your base unit, besides the new Pioneer, Research as much of the stuff you want under the Warfare tab, Armor, Weapons... etc. Then select the Peasant template and then Upgrade. Add the gear you have/want, then Save it as a new Template. Most costs are strictly Gold based, unitl
"9. How the heck do we cast spells? I cannot seem to obtain any mana to use for casting spells."
If you research enough Magic, then you get a building to add to any Town, "Arcane Study??? Things are looking up with 1Z1 or .299. I was also wondered about Marriage, but then had a Child, very late in. Crazy thing is I don't remember the Marriage screen ever popping up. :) Here is a 341 Turn Conquest Victory with 2 enemies. Needed 2 reloads though. :) http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/2985/elemental1z2.jpg I look forward to this weeks additional updates.
Ok. Just had a complete game. 250+ turns, but the deal was I had only 1 enemy faction. Will add a second enemy and go again, then add 1 etc. I already know with 4 or 5(max.) enemies I get Memory Out errors with after +/- 140(ish) turns Killing Trolls is a total PITA. Yes. I know they will be tweaked... Some map elements are not accessible without Magically altering the land, which is late stage big time due to research turn costs. There is a Ruin in a lake, a
With Maximum enemy faction selected, let's see who can win in the fewest Turns. The current fewest Turns for a 1Z (with Bugs included) victory, on Record already, is 97. Can you, dare you, beat that? [e digicons][/e] https://forums.elementalgame.com/379741 <span style="font
