Same problem here. Reproducable. Enter game, begin new game. As soon as new game comes up, hit ESC, return to main menu, create new game again (for example, if you didn't like the settings the first time). It gets to the waiting screen, then goes kaboom. SmartException doesn't catch anything. Here's my debug.err as well, since I see that it made it a bit father into the game than the previous poster. LeegleechN: You never throw away good code - ever. If you do, you end up having to reinvent it again. Since it's the sequel, a lot of things will be similar while others are different. There's no reason to reinvent those similarities, and it says nothing bad about the game. The only time it's bad is if a company simply doesn't add anything new. Look at Blizzard - they used the same code on numerous games, the Baldur's Gate series, IceWind Dale, NeverWinter Nights, etc... When t
What server/faction do you play?
Seconded.... keeping the subscription active for just one game (galciv2) isn't necessarily very attractive...
I don't see anyone else chiming in, so I'll jump in. Athlon 64 3400+ (Socket 939, yes there's a 3400+ on socket 939, no it's not listed on AMD's page, yes it's an OEM only part) Asus A8V Deluxe (Rev 2) mainboard. 1GB Dual Channel PC3200 Ram ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 2x40gb 8MB Cache Maxtor Drives (Raid 0) + 1x160gb Maxtor 8MB Cache Dual 19" CRTs XP Professional SP2, tweaked to beat hell. Lots of Stardock software. <br
GalCiv fan here. Haven't been playing much lately, but looking forward to II.
*puts on C Montgomery Burns Voice" eeexcellent! I hope to be able to participate in the beta. Reminders of what's wanted and not at the beta release time would be nice as well
I'd head over to DeviantArt - I noticed that a lot of people are beginning to put up widescreen wallpapers there... Personally I was looking for dual-monitor walls, which have a different dimension than widescreen. I noticed that both were available however..
As per the mention about alcohol, I'll bite... First, I drink very rarely and never to the point of getting wasted. I think those who drink and drive should be locked away for a very long time for reckless endangerment. However, someone sipping alcohol in a restuarant is completley different than smoking. Why? The very simple reason that the alcohol doesn't seep through the air and get into my system whether I want it to or not. Smoke does. <B
If it was about the almighty dollar, smoking would be in no danger. Tobacco lobbies make a helluva lot of money. Your'e right about one thing though Carolelee - smoking is an easy one to get rid of. That's because it's a choice that a person makes that has no benefit whatsoever, so there is no reason for it to be "protected" in any shape or form. Factories provide the goods that society demands, cars make it possible for people to live and work in rela
Healthy people.
Take your time, a working skin late is better than a broke one early
All I got to say - if Karma is true, then I must have been one bad mofo in a previous life, because I'm still paying off that karmic debt.
I thinjk the reason most of us wanted a FireFox theme section here is not because firefox themes couldn't be found elsewhere, but because we wanted firefox themes that matched the themes that skinners here were making. Many of the skinners here have been focusing on the software packages which this site caters to, which until now, did not included FireFox. Closing the FireFox section so soon after its opening would simply discourage any of the W
Sooo..... what is ThinkDesk? I just noticed the placeholder for it in Stardock Central..
Can't wait for the beta!
Not that I bought CursorXP myself (one of the few indulgences in which I've not engaged here), but I notice the emphasis on freeware. Has the paid version gone by the wayside? Won't paid customers start complaining soon if that's the case? (EDIT: Ohoh, now I see... it's been split into Free and Plus - rather than having a trial version.. like ObjectDock).. okay what's the diff between Free and Plus?
There's a FireFox extension that gives the thumbnails from Alexa.. Not sure if that gets counted in the rankings or not.
Well, I would update mine, but I'm getting the below error when I try to update my desktop image: Server Error in '/' Application. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- D:\skinners.wincustomize.com\!!Temp\Lotherius-390-3-preview-january.jpg_temp.jpg Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Custom sounds - definitely, with a couple of considerations... One you've already brought up - a good packaging system - perhaps available as a bundle with CursorXP or something.. The other - a very clear policy on copyright in regards to sampled sounds.. I can just imagine that people are going to be putting up all kinds of samples that they don't own the rights to - a lot like the wallpapers section, actually <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/s
"StumbleUpon" is a great firefox extension for that kind of surfing, craeonics.. and I think there's an IE version if one is so inclined... though the idea of going to random sites in IE shivers me timbers.
I'm setting up an "unattended" XP DVD for a couple of friends who constantly screw up their windows installs, that will automagically set up a basically complete system. I'd like to install Bootskins and LogonXP on the systems during the setup. Is this possible with either of these programs? Since they use the "Wise" installer, there are options with it for silent, unattended installs. However, is there any way to have it automatically apply a certain
You know, for someone who pretends to be tech savvy (first pong on the block, etc), this guy just seems like a clueless noob as far as I'm concerned. It only takes half a brain to learn how to not get virus infected all the time, and to filter out the worst of the spam. I spend no more than about 5 seconds a day dealing with spam - I simply scan a few headers looking for false positives, and hit "empty".. As far as virii.. I've been computing
Developer bagginz: No dice - Repair Icons in IconPackager did not fix the problem - still getting the "ico" images. I also tried installing several different icon packages, including restoring the windows default icons, followed again by "repair icons" and "rebuild icon cache" both - still getting the broken icon images. I had proper images there without Enhanced Dialog.
